Position Summary

The Software & Web Developer will design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and support web applications, internal business systems, Power BI reporting solutions, and Microsoft Dynamics ERP integrations. The role will work directly with business users in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and other departments to translate operational requirements into reliable software and analytics solutions.

This is a hands-on position for a developer who can work across application code, SQL data, APIs, reporting, and ERP workflows. The successful candidate must be able to troubleshoot problems across the frontend, backend, database, Power BI, and Dynamics layers rather than treating each platform as an isolated system.

Key Responsibilities

Software and Web Development

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure web applications, internal tools, APIs, background services, and system integrations.

• Build responsive and maintainable user interfaces using modern HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and an established frontend framework.

• Develop backend services using C#/.NET, Python, Node.js, or the company’s approved application stack.

• Create and maintain REST APIs and integrations between web applications, Microsoft Dynamics ERP, SQL Server, Power BI, and third-party platforms.

• Review requirements, prepare technical designs, estimate work, and deliver solutions through source-controlled development workflows.

• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests appropriate to the application’s risk and complexity.

• Participate in code reviews and improve application reliability, performance, maintainability, accessibility, and security.

• Maintain technical documentation, deployment instructions, data mappings, support procedures, and change records.

Power BI and Data

• Design, develop, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for operational and management decision-making.

• Translate business definitions into documented KPIs, DAX measures, drill-down reports, and reusable semantic models.

• Use Power Query, DAX, SQL, and data modeling techniques to combine data from Microsoft Dynamics ERP, SQL Server, spreadsheets, APIs, and other approved sources.

• Reconcile dashboard results against ERP transactions and source systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

• Configure and support Power BI workspaces, applications, refresh schedules, gateways, permissions, and row-level security.

• Monitor dataset refreshes and report performance; troubleshoot failed refreshes, inaccurate results, and slow reports.

• Support user acceptance testing, training, release communication, and adoption of approved reports.

Microsoft Dynamics ERP

• Support application development and integration requirements involving Microsoft Dynamics ERP.

• Work with functional users to understand Finance, Procurement, Inventory, Sales, Production, and Supply Chain processes as applicable to the company.

• Develop or maintain approved interfaces, reports, data exports/imports, scheduled jobs, and supporting applications connected to Dynamics.

• Troubleshoot issues across Dynamics application behavior, integrations, SQL data, batch processing, permissions, and dependent systems.

• Assist with testing and controlled deployment of ERP-related changes.

• Protect ERP data integrity by following change-management, access-control, backup, and release procedures.

• Document customizations, integrations, business rules, data mappings, known limitations, and support dependencies.

• At least three years of professional software or web-development experience.

• Demonstrated experience delivering and supporting business applications in a production environment.

• Hands-on development experience with a practical combination of:

o C#/.NET, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Node.js o HTML and CSS o A modern web framework such as React, Next.js, Angular, or Vue o REST APIs and JSON o Git-based source control

• Practical Power BI experience, including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query, DAX, data modeling, dashboard development, publication, and refresh troubleshooting.

• Strong SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, views, stored procedures, query troubleshooting, and performance awareness.

• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics ERP, such as Dynamics AX 2009/2012, Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management, or a comparable Microsoft Dynamics platform.

• Understanding of business processes supported by ERP systems, such as Finance, Purchasing, Inventory, Sales, Production, or Supply Chain.

• Experience integrating applications with ERP systems, databases, APIs, files, or third-party services.

• Understanding of secure-development fundamentals, including server-side validation, authentication, authorization, secrets management, least privilege, dependency management, and protection of sensitive information.

• Ability to investigate production issues systematically using logs, database queries, browser tools, API tools, and controlled testing.

• Ability to communicate technical subjects clearly with business users and IT colleagues.

• Working English proficiency sufficient for technical documentation, meetings, support communication, and collaboration with international colleagues.

• Ability and willingness to work full-time onsite at the specified Vietnam location.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with Dynamics AX 2009 or AX 2012, including X++, AOT, batch jobs, SSRS, integrations, and the AX/SQL data model.

• Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management, Dataverse, Power Apps, or Power Automate.

• Experience with C#, ASP.
NET Core, Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Azure services.

• Experience building Power BI semantic models using star-schema design and implementing row-level security.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, data warehouses, or ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, finance, supply-chain, warehouse, or retail applications.

• Microsoft certification related to Power BI, Power Platform, Azure, or Dynamics.

• Experience working with geographically distributed teams.

AI-Assisted Development Expectations

• Use company-approved AI coding assistants to support research, prototyping, debugging, testing, and documentation when appropriate.

• Review, understand, test, and take responsibility for all AI-generated code before submitting it.

• Never submit company secrets, credentials, personal data, customer data, confidential ERP information, or proprietary source code to an unapproved AI service.

• Validate AI recommendations against official documentation and the actual application and library versions in use.

• Identify hallucinated APIs, insecure code, incorrect assumptions, licensing concerns, and unnecessary dependencies before implementation.

• Follow company requirements for human review, source control, testing, security scanning, and change approval regardless of whether AI assisted with the work.

Success Measures

During the first six to twelve months, success should be measured by:

• Reliable delivery of assigned application enhancements and integrations.

• Accuracy and adoption of Power BI reports.

• Reduction in recurring manual reporting or data-processing work.

• Timely resolution of application, reporting, and integration incidents.

• Quality of source code, testing, documentation, and change records.

• Compliance with security, access-control, and release-management requirements.

• Effective collaboration with business stakeholders and international colleagues.
