JOB DESCRIPTION – SALES ENGINEER

About the role

This Sales Engineer role at KLINGER SJP VIETNAM LLC. is a full-time position based in HO CHI MINH CITY (PHU THANH WARD). You will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing customer relationships, providing technical support and solutions to customers, as well as supporting the overall business development activities of the company. The role plays a key part in maintaining strong customer engagement, achieving sales targets and ensuring efficient coordination between customers and internal departments.

Scope of Work:

Sales & Business Development Functions:

• Monitoring and evaluating the market activities and sales performance.

• Ensuring that all sales targets and KPIs are achieved within requirement.

• Customer Relationship Management for contracts supply of gaskets, valves, instrument products.

• Generating sales while providing technical support to customers.

• Explore new market segment and follow up new projects / customers.

• Provide timely feedback on overall market situation, competition and new business opportunities.

• Monitor and ensures timely payments for all purchase orders.

• To plan, travel and make regular visits to prospective customers.

• To promote, market and service all existing customer and develop new customers on all KLINGER-SJP legacy products.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth business operations and customer support.

Tendering, Reporting & Coordination Functions:

• Prepare tenders / project quotation for submission to customers.

• Prepare business plan and market analysis for management review

• Prepare and submit daily / weekly reports as well as monthly sales forecast to the management

• Attend weekly/monthly meetings.

• Coordinates marketing activities such as training, exhibitions and product seminars.

• Ensure timely communication and coordination with customers, suppliers and internal departments.

QMS & Compliance Functions:

• Responsible for QMS activity of his/her departments.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and quality management system requirements.

• Maintain professional conduct and safeguard confidential business information.

Product Portfolio Responsibilities:

• Klinger (Gaskets, Valve, Level Gauges, Expansion Joint, etc)

• GPT-Pikotek, Teadit, IDT, Victor Reinz, SGL, Trelleborg.

• SJP in house SWG, Kammprofile, rubber/ptfe gasket.

General Functions:

• Support the company’s operational and business objectives as assigned by the Management from time to time.

• You may also be required to perform any other tasks or duties that may be assigned to you from time to time, which is not incompatible with your present job functions and within your capability to perform.

Job requirement:

• Candidates with 2–3 years of experience in quotation preparation and knowledge of gasket, valve sizing/selection will be an advantage.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

- Comfortable with English communication (verbal and written) for working with overseas colleague & clients and documentation.

- Self-driven, detail-oriented, problem-solving and capable of working independently.

- Hard working, honest, creative, patient.

- This position will be based in our office in Ho Chi Minh City and candidate must be willing to travel in Vietnam and internationally.
