ABOUT THE ROLE

Pon Phu Thai Mobility Group is seeking a Head of IT to lead its IT function across multiple legal entities, automotive brands and locations.

This role combines IT strategy, business partnership, project implementation and day-to-day operations. Working closely with the General Director and Management Team, you will translate business priorities into practical technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, customer experience and business performance.

You will lead a lean IT team and take direct ownership of delivery, remaining actively involved in key projects and business-critical issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

IT Strategy & Business Partnership

• Develop and implement an IT roadmap aligned with business priorities.
• Partner with Sales, Aftersales, Finance, HR, Marketing and other functions to understand requirements and improve business processes.
• Recommend technology investments based on business value, security, cost and operational feasibility.

IT Projects & Business Applications

• Lead projects from requirements analysis and solution selection through implementation, testing, training, go-live and stabilization.
• Oversee the implementation, integration and improvement of ERP, Dealer Management Systems (DMS), CRM, Finance, HR and reporting/BI applications.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks and stakeholder expectations.
• Drive user adoption and assess business outcomes after implementation.

IT Operations & Cybersecurity

• Ensure reliable and secure infrastructure, networks, cloud services, workplace technology and IT support across locations.
• Lead the resolution of critical incidents and improve service quality.
• Maintain effective access controls, cybersecurity measures, backup, disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements.
• Coordinate security assessments, remediation and compliance with relevant company and automotive principal requirements.

Multi-Entity Coordination

• Establish appropriate common standards while addressing entity-specific and brand-specific requirements.
• Support technology integration for new businesses, brands and locations.
• Coordinate with regional/global IT teams, automotive principals and external partners.

Team, Budget & Vendor Management

• Lead, coach and develop the internal IT team.
• Manage IT budgets, assets, software licences, subscriptions and technology lifecycle.
• Manage vendors, contracts and service agreements against agreed quality, cost and delivery expectations.
• Ensure effective documentation and knowledge transfer.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3-5 years in IT management or senior IT leadership.
• Proven experience leading system implementations from requirements gathering through go-live and stabilization.
• Strong practical capability across IT infrastructure, business applications, cybersecurity and service delivery.
• Ability to analyse business processes and translate requirements into workable technology solutions.
• Strong project, stakeholder, vendor and budget management skills.
• Good command of English and Vietnamese.
• A proactive, accountable and hands-on leadership approach.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Multi-entity, multi-brand or multi-location organizations.
• Automotive, retail, distribution, luxury goods or another operationally complex business.
• Collaboration with international organizations, regional/global IT teams or brand principals.
• Business integration, transformation, restructuring or M&A projects.
• Relevant certifications in project management, IT service management, cybersecurity, cloud or enterprise systems.

• Work directly with the General Director and Management Team.
• Shape technology priorities across multiple businesses, brands and locations.
• Lead projects with a direct impact on business operations and customer experience.
• Develop your leadership contribution in an international working environment.
