Key Responsibilities

1. EPC & Project Preparation

• Coordinate with EPC contractors and relevant parties during the construction and equipment installation stages.
• Monitor installation and construction progress from an operational perspective.
• Review engineering designs and identify potential gaps between design specifications and actual plant operations.
• Support preparation for commissioning and ensure smooth handover from the EPC stage to Operations.

2. Commissioning & Start-up

• Lead/support commissioning and start-up of the wood chipping facility.
• Adjust operating conditions based on different raw-material characteristics, such as bark, veneer residues, and other wood materials.
• Troubleshoot start-up issues such as material clogging, conveyor failures, equipment problems, and inconsistent wood-chip size.
• Coordinate technical issue resolution with EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, and other relevant parties.
• Support production ramp-up until the plant reaches stable operating conditions.

3. Plant Operations & Maintenance

• Manage daily operations of the wood chipping facility with a capacity of approximately 100 tons/hour and a target production volume of approximately 1,600 tons/day.
• Ensure stable plant operation and achievement of production targets.
• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
• Monitor equipment performance, identify operational bottlenecks, minimize downtime, and improve overall plant efficiency.

4. Raw Materials, Yard & Logistics

• Manage raw-material receiving, unloading, stockpiling, storage, and yard operations.
• Optimize material handling based on the characteristics and condition of incoming wood materials.
• Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers to maintain a stable and continuous raw material supply.

5. Quality Management

• Manage key wood-chip quality parameters, including: o Moisture content o Calorific value o Particle/chip size
• Oversee sampling and analysis activities.
• Investigate quality deviations, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

6. Team & Contractor Management

• Manage plant operators and relevant site personnel.
• Participate in the selection and management of subcontractors and O&M service providers.
• Define roles and responsibilities and ensure effective coordination among internal teams and external contractors.

7. Safety & Environmental Compliance

• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
• Implement fire-prevention and dust-control measures appropriate for a wood- processing facility.
• Ensure plant operations comply with applicable Vietnamese environmental regulations.

8. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly plant-operation reports for management.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for operational issues.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives relating to productivity, equipment reliability, quality, safety, and operating efficiency.

Yêu cầu công việc

• Minimum 5 years of experience in plant/factory operations, including site or operational management responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of industrial/mechanical equipment, particularly conveyors, heavy machinery, and industrial processing systems.
• Good leadership and team-management skills.
• Business-level English, including reading, writing, and basic business communication.
