Purpose

The AI & Automation Specialist develops reusable AI agent skills, tools, and integrations while delivering practical AI applications and business process automation solutions across Ben Line

Group. This hands-on role works with business and technology teams to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and build reliable, maintainable solutions. AI capability development and business automation are parallel responsibilities.

Responsibilities

1. AI Agent Skills & Capability Development

• Develop, test, and maintain reusable AI agent skills, tools, and integrations, including API-based tools and workflow integrations.
• Develop AI-powered solutions using Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Foundry (including models from providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and DeepSeek), and other approved AI technologies.
• Develop capabilities that enable AI agents to interact with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and approved information sources.
• Develop AI solutions for document processing, information retrieval, data extraction, and analysis. Implement AI agent workflows, tool calling, and integration with business systems.
• Test and improve the accuracy, reliability, and performance of AI agents and their skills.

2. AI Applications & Business Automation

• Develop AI-powered applications and automation solutions to support business operations.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and automate repetitive business processes.
• Build automation workflows using Python, APIs, and suitable automation tools.
• Develop end-to-end automation workflows covering document processing, data extraction, data entry, validation, and verification of final outputs.
• Develop browser-based and desktop automation where direct API integration or supported connectors are unavailable or unsuitable.
• Integrate AI services with existing enterprise applications and business workflows.
• Implement error handling, logging, exception management, and human review
• where required.

3. Solution Development & Integration

• Develop and maintain applications, scripts, APIs, and integrations supporting AI and automation solutions.
• Build reusable components to support future AI and automation projects.
• Develop AI and automation solutions using approved platforms and following company security, data protection, and access control requirements.
• Test and troubleshoot applications, integrations, and automated workflows.
• Maintain technical documentation and support the handover and ongoing operation of deployed solutions.

4. Business Collaboration & Solution Delivery

• Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and identify AI and automation opportunities.
• Assess technical feasibility and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Develop proof-of-concepts and implement solutions based on business priorities.
• Collaborate with Group Tech teams on infrastructure, security, and system integration.
• Provide technical support, documentation, and knowledge transfer.

5. Continuous Improvement

• Monitor and improve the accuracy, reliability, and performance of AI and automation solutions.
• Identify opportunities to reuse existing AI capabilities and automation components.
• Evaluate emerging AI and automation technologies for practical business applications.
• Improve solution maintainability, efficiency, and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Relevant Microsoft certifications in Azure AI, AI application
• development, or Power Platform are an advantage.

Skills

• Strong hands-on Python skills for AI applications, automation, and system integration.
• Solid experience with REST APIs, JSON, and databases.
• Hands-on development of AI agents or applications using LLMs.
• Ability to build, test, troubleshoot, and maintain reliable applications and automation workflows.
• Experience with Git and standard development practices.
• Strong problem-solving, ability to interpret business requirements, and effective communication in English.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Foundry, Microsoft 365 Copilot, AI agent frameworks, MCP, RAG, or function calling is an advantage.
• Experience with automation and document processing tools such as Playwright, Power Automate, or OCR is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in AI application development, business process automation, or software development.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents or AI-powered applications in production.
• Hands-on experience building business automation workflows for application integration, data processing, or automated data entry.
• Experience delivering practical technical solutions with business teams is an advantage.

Knowledge

• Understanding of AI agents, LLMs, business process automation, and application integration.
• Familiarity with software development, testing, and deployment practices.
• Basic knowledge of cloud services and enterprise applications.
• Awareness of information security, data protection, and access control principles.
