• Position Purpose: Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-quality backend solutions by collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful digital banking platforms and services.
• Responsibilities: As a backend engineer, you will be working within a specific problem where you will design, develop, and deploy backend services with a focus on scalability, high availability, and low latency.
• Collaborate with customers, Product Owners, Solution Architects, and cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver practical solutions.
• Drive the efficient delivery of change through analysis, definition, and documentation of requirements whilst identifying potential solutions using agile delivery frameworks.
• Solve complex technical and business problems and learn new technologies and frameworks.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
• Leverage AI tools to improve development productivity while ensuring code quality, security, and maintainability.

- Requirements

• 1. Must have
• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Strong experience with Java/Spring Boot, Python, or equivalent backend technologies.
• Solid understanding of microservices, REST APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and cloud-native development.
• Strong customer-facing communication with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with sound engineering judgment.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve engineering productivity.
• Strong ownership mindset, adaptability, and good English communication skills.
• 2. Nice to have
• Experience with Kafka, Redis, Kubernetes, AWS, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience in banking or financial services.
• Experience with automated testing and DevOps practices.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development, prompt engineering, or AI agent frameworks.
• Experience with Spec-Driven Development / AI Spec-Driven Engineering is a strong plus.
