Technical Business Analyst

About The Role

We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst with 3-5 years of experience to join our fast-paced startup environment. This role will act as a bridge between business teams, internal stakeholders, and IT vendors throughout product development, UAT, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in an Agile setup, has strong documentation skills, understands technical concepts, and can communicate effectively with both business users and engineering/vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and clarify requirements.

• Translate business needs into clear technical and functional documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, BRD/SRS, UAT documents, and user guides.

• Collaborate with IT vendors, developers, QA, and internal teams to ensure requirements are well understood and properly implemented.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Manage and maintain requirements, tasks, issues, and defects in Jira.

• Support SIT/UAT activities, including preparing test scenarios, test cases, test data, defect logs, and UAT reports.

• Analyze and troubleshoot issues by reproducing bugs, checking data, reviewing API responses/logs when needed, and coordinating with technical teams for resolution.

• Track open issues, change requests, risks, dependencies, and action items to ensure timely follow-up.

• Support go-live preparation, deployment coordination, post-go-live support, and user feedback collection.

• Act as a key communication point between business users, product owners, IT teams, and external vendors.

• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst, System Analyst, or similar role.

• Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Strong experience with Jira for backlog, task, sprint, issue, and defect management.

• Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, business requirements, functional specifications, and UAT documentation.

• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, system integration, APIs, databases, and data flows.

• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge is preferred.

• Experience using Postman or similar tools to test APIs is a strong plus.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

• Good communication skills with the ability to discuss requirements and issues with both business and technical stakeholders.

• Comfortable working in a startup environment: fast-moving, dynamic, hands-on, and adaptable.

• Good English reading and writing skills; verbal communication in English is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with external IT vendors or outsourced development teams.

• Experience in UAT/SIT planning, test case preparation, defect tracking, and release support.

• Familiarity with tools such as Confluence, Notion, Miro, Figma, Draw.io, or similar documentation/collaboration tools.

• Experience in fintech, e-commerce, ERP, CRM, OMS, SaaS, payment, or operational systems is an advantage.
