Job Summary

The APAC Senior Network Engineer will be primarily responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting the network infrastructure across APAC sites and data centers, ensuring maximum uptime, performance, and alignment with global IT standards. This role serves as a key regional technical contact, collaborating closely with central infrastructure teams, vendor management, and local site stakeholders.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Regional Network Support & Operations (70%)

Operational Support & Incident Management

• Serve as primary L2/L3 support for regional network incident management across local offices.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate core network issues (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, Routing/Switching, Firewalls) within defined SLAs.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and implement corrective action plans.

Network Administration & Monitoring

• Monitor regional network health using enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix and PRTG).
• Perform routine network maintenance, firmware updates, configurations, and patch management in compliance with regional change management procedures.
• Ensure high availability, redundancy, and performance optimization across all connected sites.

Collaboration & Regional Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with the regional APAC IT Infrastructure leadership team and global network engineering teams to execute infrastructure roadmaps.
• Act as local/regional technical liaison during site onboarding, office setups, internet line upgrades, or site expansions.
• Support local site IT teams across APAC with technical guidance and operational best practices.
• Support the setup of new sites/offices, showrooms, and office relocations utilizing project management principles.

Network Security & Compliance

• Develop and enforce network security policies, including secure access controls and data protection.
• Coordinate vulnerability scans, remediate network CVEs, and manage firmware risks.
• Lead network-related forensics, containment, and recovery in response to security incidents.

Local IT Infrastructure Support (30%)

• Provide hands-on L2-L3 support for local office incidents and problem management, executing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence (Note: L1 support is not required).
• Administer and provide local support for wireless networks, voice/collaboration tools, and other office IT systems.
• Lead and deliver local network infrastructure projects and continuous network improvements.

Job Requirements:

Education required and Core experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5 - 8+ years of Progressive Network Engineering Experience
• Hands-on ownership of local IT infrastructure at scale
• Experience planning and executing global network project rollouts with cross-functional stakeholders in multiple time zones.
• Lifecycle management expertise (assessment, refresh, EOL/EOS, patching, capacity planning, documentation, and budget oversight).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of WAN/LAN network architecture, design, and optimization.
• Strong project management capability for global rollouts: scoping, planning, risk management, change governance (CAB), and stakeholder communication.
• Proficiency in network security policies, access control
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and provide end-user support.
• Experience with global project rollouts and stakeholder management.
• Network Security: Firewalls (e.g., Huawei, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet), IDS/IPS, segmentation/Zero Trust, NAC (Cisco ISE/Aruba ClearPass), WAF/DDOS fundamentals.
• Data Center Networking: Cisco Meraki /Catalyst or equivalent, VXLAN/EVPN, L3 spine-leaf, HA/dual-homing, load balancing concepts.
• LAN/WLAN: Enterprise LAN, Wi-Fi (e.g., Aruba/Cisco), RF design, 802.1X, high-density deployments, guest networks.
• Routing and Switching: Deep expertise in IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF/ISIS, ECMP, HSRP/VRRP, STP/RSTP/MSTP, QoS, multicast.
• Excellent communication skills in English

Certifications Required

• CCNA/CCNP (Preferred)
• ITIL Foundation (Optional)
