Reporting directly to the Chief Accountant, this role will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting data, overseeing general accounting activities, managing tax compliance, and strengthening financial reporting and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Accounting & Financial Reporting

Oversee general accounting activities and ensure accurate, complete, and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing.

Review and verify accounting entries, reconciliations, and financial reports to ensure data accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.

Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports, providing insights to support business decisions.

Monitor accounting records and ensure the integrity and consistency of financial data across relevant functions.

2. Tax Accounting & Compliance

Manage tax accounting activities, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulatory requirements.

Prepare and review tax declarations and reports, including VAT, Corporate Income Tax, Personal Income Tax, and other applicable tax obligations.

Independently handle routine tax matters, investigate tax discrepancies, and proactively resolve tax-related issues.

Liaise with tax authorities when necessary and coordinate tax audits, inspections, and related documentation.

3. Manufacturing Accounting, Inventory & Cost Control

Oversee accounting activities related to manufacturing operations, with a particular focus on inventory management, production costs, and cost analysis.

Monitor inventory movements, production costs, cost allocation, and related accounting records to ensure accuracy and proper control.

Analyze cost variances and identify opportunities to improve cost visibility, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Work closely with relevant departments to ensure accurate inventory and costing data.

4. Audit & Internal Controls

Coordinate with independent external auditors during annual financial audits and provide supporting documents as required.

Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of accounting procedures and internal control systems.

Identify potential accounting risks and control weaknesses, recommending practical solutions to minimize errors and ensure compliance.

5. Process Improvement & Team Collaboration

Analyze accounting data and existing workflows to identify opportunities for process improvement and reporting enhancement.

Develop and improve accounting reports, templates, and analytical tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Collaborate with team members across General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cost Accounting to ensure smooth and effective operations.

Support the Chief Accountant in financial and accounting matters, ad hoc analysis, and other assignments as required.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or a related field from a recognized university.

At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong foundation in General Accounting and monthly closing.

Mandatory experience in a manufacturing company, preferably in FMCG, Food & Beverage, or a similar production environment.

Solid experience in Tax Accounting, with the ability to independently handle tax-related matters and work with tax authorities.

Good understanding of inventory accounting, production costing, cost allocation, and manufacturing accounting.

Experience in companies with both manufacturing and domestic sales operations is an advantage.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of Vietnamese accounting regulations, tax laws, and relevant compliance requirements.

Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to build reports, analyze financial data, and identify discrepancies.

Experience working with independent external auditors is preferred.

Experience in accounting process improvement and internal control implementation is an advantage.

Knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus.

Working proficiency in English for job-related communication.
