JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Product Manager owns the strategy, roadmap, and business outcomes for the Enterprise Services (ES) digital portfolio, including the Enterprise Services Platform (ESP) and internal applications supporting service delivery across ESVN. The role translates ES business priorities into a sequenced, defensible roadmap aligned with global Simpson Strong‑Tie platform direction, enterprise architecture standards, and governance requirements. This leader represents the portfolio in senior forums and ensures the team delivers measurable outcomes – not output volume.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Product Strategy & Roadmap

• Define the long‑term vision and 12‑month rolling roadmap for the ES platform.
• Translate business priorities into clear, sequenced capabilities with measurable outcomes.
• Ensure roadmap alignment with global platform direction, shared capabilities, and enterprise architecture standards.

2. Outcome Ownership

• Own initiative‑level KPIs across plan, build, run, and support.
• Track and report on cloud infrastructure costs, adoption, cycle time, user adoption rates, and other outcome metrics.
• Drive decisions based on value delivered – business growth/revenue impact, cost savings, risk reduction, and user hours saved.

3. Discovery & Problem Validation

• Engage users across segments and countries: ISS, HR/Back‑Office, IT Operations, and Professional Services 
• Instrument existing applications to understand usage and pain points.
• Validate problems before defining requirements or writing stories.

4. Technical & Architectural Partnership

• Collaborate with Solutions Architect, Innovation Lab, and engineering teams on major technological and architectural decisions.
• Evaluate commercial frameworks, software, and vendors with a focus on scalability, modernization, and enterprise alignment.

5. Stakeholder & Team Coordination

• Manage inbound requests through a structured intake process that protects team focus and delivery flow.
• Maintain a rigorously prioritized backlog using explicit, value‑based frameworks.
• Make transparent trade‑off decisions and maintain a decision log to ensure stakeholders understand prioritization rationale.
• Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and internal users; communicate roadmap changes proactively.

Your Skills and Experience

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must Have 

• 5+ years as a Product Manager or Product Owner in a product‑driven organization. 
• Demonstrated use of explicit prioritization frameworks with ability to explain ranking decisions. 
• Proven stakeholder management across senior business leaders and cross‑functional teams; able to defend prioritization with data while maintaining trust. 
• Quantitative fluency: ability to interpret dashboards, write basic SQL, and use AI tools for rapid insight generation. 
• Strong written communication capable of producing concise, executive‑ready product briefs. 
• Direct experience shipping internal enterprise or B2B tools. 
• Effective English communication for daily collaboration with international stakeholders. 

Leadership Expectations 

• Sets and defends strategic direction for the ES portfolio under pressure. 
• Coaches the Business Analyst on discovery and story quality without absorbing BA responsibilities. 
• Represents the team confidently in senior forums and shields the core team from escalations. 
• Models “outcomes over output” in all ceremonies, reviews, and steering conversations. 

Nice to Have 

• Construction technology, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), or engineering-tools domain experience. 
• Familiarity with cloud cost management or Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps). 
• Track record of turning around a backlog that had drifted into a list of stakeholder asks. 
• Comfort with common product and collaboration tooling (issue trackers, documentation platforms, roadmap tools). Fluent in agile without over-ritualizing it. 
• Sets direction for the portfolio and defends it under pressure. 
• Coaches the Business Analyst on discovery and story quality without absorbing the BA's job. 
• Represents the team upward and outward. Absorbs escalation heat so the core team can focus. 
• Models "outcomes over output" in every ceremony, review, and steering conversation.
