PURPOSE

The role handles commission payments and month-end accounting activities for assigned distribution channels, making sure payments, accounting entries and records are accurate, complete and on time.

The role also prepares timely and accurate Management Information reports, supports the business planning and forecasting process, and performs financial analysis.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

A. Commission Payment & Accounting Control

1. Payment

• Handle end-to-end commission payments for assigned distribution channels, including validating commission calculations against applicable schemes and agreements before payment, securing necessary approvals, executing bank transfers, and ensuring strict adherence to timelines and regulatory requirements for accurate and efficient disbursements.

2. Month-end Closing

• Reconciliation: Reconcile commission payments, bank transactions and accounting balances. Investigate differences and follow up on outstanding items to ensure records are accurate.

• Booking & Upload: Prepare and post a wide range of accounting entries in Oracle, including payment-related entries, adjustments and reclassifications, for assigned channels.

• Closing Support & Documentation: Complete assigned closing checks, provide information to relevant teams, and maintain accurate documents, invoices and accounting records.

B. Management Information Reporting

• Prepare daily, monthly and quarterly MI reports accurately and on time.

• Support the business planning and forecasting process: build and maintain business planning templates, collect data from related departments on time, and deliver submissions that meet Group Office requirements and deadlines.

• Analyze financial and operational data to explain performance, key variances and underlying drivers, and prepare clear commentary to support management reporting.

Yêu cầu công việc

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. ACCA/ CPA (full or in progress) is an advantage.

• 2-3 years of experience in accounting, with solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Experience in life insurance, audit (Big 4) or financial services is preferred.

• Knowledge of insurance accounting (IFRS 17 is a plus) and experience with Life Asia (LAS) or other policy administration systems is preferred.

• Required: Advanced Excel and Power Query; MS Word and PowerPoint; experience with an ERP system (Oracle preferred).

• Preferred: Power BI, VBA, Python; practical use of AI tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot.

• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
