1. JOB SUMMARY

A large furniture manufacturer in Ben Tre is currently hiring an experienced Factory Director.

Responsible for leading and overseeing all factory operations to ensure production efficiency, product quality, cost control, on-time delivery and sustainable business performance.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

2.1. Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement factory operational plans, budgets and KPIs aligned with business objectives.
• Plan production capacity, manpower and equipment to meet business demands.
• Identify and propose investment, automation and operational improvement initiatives.

2.2. Production & Operations Management

• Oversee all production activities, ensuring productivity, product quality and on-time delivery.
• Optimize production processes, material utilization, labor productivity, inventory and waste control.
• Coordinate with Product Development on new product industrialization and mass production.
• Ensure effective maintenance of machinery, equipment and factory facilities.

2.3. Quality, Compliance & HSE

• Ensure products meet customer requirements and relevant quality and safety standards; oversee QA/QC operations and quality issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, occupational health and safety, environmental and social responsibility requirements.
• Coordinate customer and third-party audits and follow up on corrective actions.

2.4. Cost Management & Continuous Improvement

• Manage factory budgets, operating costs and manpower expenses within approved limits.
• Drive productivity and cost optimization while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.

2.5. People Management & Leadership

• Lead, coach and develop the factory management team and workforce.
• Establish performance objectives, evaluate results and promote a disciplined, accountable and collaborative working culture.
• Work closely with HR on workforce planning, recruitment, training and succession development.

2.6. Reporting & Coordination

• Provide regular reports to senior management on production, quality, delivery, costs, safety and workforce performance.
• Identify operational risks and implement appropriate action plans.
• Represent the factory in meetings, customer visits and factory audits.

3. REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Wood Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years experience of Factory Director/ Factory manager in a furniture manufacturing.
• Proven experience managing a medium-to-large manufacturing facility; experience managing 200+ employees is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of production management, budgeting, cost control, quality management and Lean Manufacturing.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work and relocate to Ben Tre Province, Vietnam.
