VIG is supporting one of its portfolio companies — a consumer products business that builds its own brands and sells to customers in the US and other international markets through leading online marketplaces — in a search for an E-Commerce Leader – Amazon Marketplace.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the company’s Amazon channel and shape its next stage of growth, working directly with top management and with the strategic backing of VIG as an institutional investor. This is a senior, hands-on role for a leader who wants real impact on business results, team building, and the adoption of data- and AI-driven ways of working.

JOB PURPOSE

The E-Commerce Leader is responsible for leading Amazon marketplace operations and the Marketplace & Digital Marketing team. The role oversees sales performance, product listing optimization, advertising, data analysis, team development, and cross-functional collaboration to drive revenue growth and sustainable business performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Amazon Marketplace Sales & Performance Management

Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales/GMV, traffic, conversion rate (CVR), inventory, pricing, and promotional activities. Ensure business targets are met and proactively report performance risks.

● Listing, Content & SEO Management

Oversee product listing quality and content, including SEO, A+ Content, images, and keywords, while maintaining brand consistency across marketplaces. Direct content marketing and SEO activities to improve traffic, engagement, search rankings, and conversion rates.

● Digital Marketing & Performance Marketing Leadership

Set the direction for digital marketing and paid advertising, with a focus on Amazon PPC, and manage advertising budget allocation. Drive the adoption of AI and marketing automation to improve advertising efficiency and optimize ROAS, TACOS, CTR, and CVR.

● Market & Competitor Analysis

Monitor market and competitor pricing, promotions, rankings, product assortment, and trends. Identify growth opportunities and potential risks, and translate insights into actionable plans.

● Data Analysis & Reporting

Oversee performance reporting across sales, marketing, and marketplace operations. Ensure data accuracy and timely reporting, and provide data-driven recommendations to management.

● Team Management & Development

Lead, coach, and develop E-Commerce Sales members, the Performance Marketing Supervisor/Expert, and relevant team members. Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and strengthen team capabilities.

● Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with Product, B2B, Logistics, Customer Service (CS), Planning, and relevant department heads to ensure smooth marketplace operations and alignment with overall business goals. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

● Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related field.

● Strong understanding of Amazon marketplaces and international e-commerce markets, with solid knowledge of SEO, keyword optimization, and marketplace algorithms.

● Good English communication skills, equivalent to TOEIC 600 or above.

● 3–5+ years of experience in e-commerce, preferably in marketplace environments such as Amazon, Walmart, or Wayfair.

● At least 2–3 years of experience in a managerial or team leadership role, preferably leading cross-functional or multi-level teams.

● A proven track record of driving sales growth, implementing digital marketing strategies, and improving marketplace performance.

● Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions; proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

● Experience in campaign management and performance marketing, with a good understanding of PPC, ROAS, and TACOS metrics.

● Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to manage projects and prioritize effectively.

● Strong leadership and team development capabilities, stakeholder management, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
