JOB SUMMARY

The Data Specialist/Senior Specialist supports ERP transformation and data readiness in Vietnam by coordinating business-critical data preparation, governance routines and local project management activities to enable successful deployment.

The Data Readiness Framework prepares and validates master data, definitions, system interfaces and governance practices before key ERP transformation milestones.

Working with local business teams, Data Owners, Data Stewards, technology teams and the APAC Data Governance Lead, the role coordinates readiness across Product, Supplier, Customer and Finance data domains. The role is not directly managed by the APAC Data Governance Lead but works closely with the Lead for guidance, alignment and prioritization.

The role also supports market-level project management activities, including planning, action tracking, reporting and stakeholder follow-up.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Data Readiness & Governance Activation

• Execute local data readiness activities across assigned domains in Vietnam

• Facilitate working sessions and checkpoints with local stakeholders

• Activate Data Owners and Data Stewards with clear ownership and accountability

• Work closely with the APAC Data Governance Lead on governance direction, priorities, escalations and deliverables

Readiness Deliverables & Data Quality Execution

• Prepare readiness deliverables such as data inventories, system interface lists, glossary and data field documentation

• Coordinate data quality reviews, remediation activities and issue resolution with business and technical teams

• Validate local deliverables and support migration readiness evidence for key program decision points

Coordination, Governance & PMO Support

• Support local project management activities, including planning, action tracking, status updates and stakeholder follow-up

• Coordinate governance meetings, prepare materials and document key decisions, risks and issues

• Ensure alignment between local teams, regional leads and technical workstreams on priorities and timelines

Process Improvement & Capability Building

• Identify opportunities to simplify local processes, improve data management practices and reduce manual workarounds

• Support documentation of standard processes, roles and responsibilities for sustainable data governance

• Build local capability through knowledge sharing, user guidance and hands-on support for business teams.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related discipline

Functional, Technical & Software Skills

• FP&A background preferred, with experience collaborating across functions

• Experience or strong interest in master data, data governance, data quality or business transformation

• Preferred software skills: Excel and Power BI; familiarity with SQL, Snowflake and basic Python is a plus

• ERP, master data, process mapping or data management experience is an advantage.

Project Management Knowledge

• Planning, tracking, task management and follow-up across stakeholders and workstreams

• Meeting facilitation, action tracking, status reporting and governance preparation

• Risk, issue and decision management with clear documentation.
