1. JOB PURPOSE

Lead and manage all warehouse operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely material flow supporting VinFast's automotive manufacturing operations.

Ensure effective management of raw materials, components, spare parts, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods through optimized warehouse processes, inventory control, system integration, and cross-functional coordination.

Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, cost optimization, and compliance with automotive industry standards.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

2.1. Warehouse Operations Management

Manage end-to-end warehouse operations, including inbound receiving, unloading, inspection, put-away, storage, picking, kitting, line feeding, dispatching, and returns.

Ensure uninterrupted material supply to production lines in accordance with production schedules.

Manage warehouse operations for raw materials, automotive components, WIP, finished goods, and spare parts.

Optimize warehouse layout, storage capacity, material handling equipment, and internal material flow.

Implement standardized warehouse processes and SOPs in line with company requirements.

Ensure timely execution of inbound and outbound logistics activities.

2.2. Inventory & Material Control

Develop and implement inventory control strategies to maintain optimal stock levels.

Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting, physical stocktaking, and system reconciliation.

Monitor material shortages, excess inventory, obsolete stock, and slow-moving items.

Establish and maintain FIFO/FEFO principles and material traceability.

Coordinate with Planning, Purchasing, Production, and Quality teams to resolve material discrepancies and supply issues.

Implement effective inventory management practices to minimize inventory holding costs and material losses.

2.3. Production Material Flow Management

Ensure material availability at production lines based on production requirements.

Coordinate material replenishment and line-side supply using JIT/JIS principles where applicable.

Develop and maintain PFEP (Plan for Every Part) for warehouse storage and production material flow.

Optimize internal logistics routes, material handling processes, and delivery frequencies.

Coordinate with Production and Material Planning teams to prevent production disruptions caused by material shortages.

Support the implementation and optimization of AGV/AMR and automated material handling systems where applicable.

2.4. Warehouse System & Digitalization

Manage warehouse transactions and inventory data through SAP/ERP and WMS.

Ensure accurate and real-time system updates for all warehouse movements.

Monitor system integration between SAP, WMS, and production material management systems.

Drive warehouse digitalization, automation, barcode/RFID scanning, and traceability initiatives.

Develop warehouse performance dashboards and management reports.

2.5. People & 3PL Management

Lead, manage, and develop warehouse supervisors and operational teams.

Develop manpower plans, shift schedules, and resource allocation.

Establish individual and departmental KPIs.

Manage 3PL service providers and monitor performance against SLAs.

Conduct regular performance reviews, training, and competency development.

Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, safety, discipline, and continuous improvement.

2.6. Cost Control & Continuous Improvement

Develop and manage the annual warehouse operating budget.

Optimize labor productivity, warehouse utilization, equipment utilization, and operational costs.

Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Identify operational bottlenecks and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Drive productivity improvement and waste reduction across warehouse operations.

2.7. Quality, Safety & Compliance

Ensure warehouse operations comply with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Maintain proper storage and handling conditions for automotive components and sensitive materials.

Ensure material identification, lot/batch traceability, and quality status control.

Coordinate with Quality teams to manage non-conforming materials and supplier returns.

Ensure compliance with 5S, fire safety, environmental, and occupational health and safety requirements.

Support internal and external audits, including relevant ISO and automotive quality management requirements.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related disciplines.

Experience

Minimum 8–10 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain management.

Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial position within a large-scale manufacturing environment.

Experience in automotive, EV, electronics, or other complex manufacturing industries is highly preferred.

Proven experience managing large warehouse operations and cross-functional teams.

Experience in warehouse setup, operational transformation, and 3PL management is an advantage.

Technical Competencies

Strong knowledge of warehouse management and inventory control.

Solid understanding of automotive material flow and production logistics.

Knowledge of JIT/JIS, FIFO/FEFO, PFEP, Cycle Counting, and Lean Manufacturing.

Strong experience with SAP ERP and WMS.

Knowledge of AGV/AMR and warehouse automation is an advantage.

Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and EHS requirements.

Strong data analysis and cost management capabilities.
