UpPromote is a leading Shopify affiliate, influencer, and referral marketing platform, trusted by thousands of global merchants. 

We're making a deliberate shift. Our YouTube channel is moving from an occasional product-tutorial playlist into a real growth engine, one that pulls in Shopify merchants searching for answers and turns them into users. Our ambition is the cadence, format range, and topic reach of the strongest channels in the Shopify and ecommerce space: consistent series, search-driven topics, explainers, comparisons, and real-store stories that build trust and drive installs.

We're looking for one sharp, versatile Video Editor to help make that happen, working with the Content team to turn scripts and screen recordings into videos people actually watch and act on. This is a hands-on editing role. No on-camera work required.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Format & Volume: Produce around 4-5 videos a week across a mix of formats (varying by length and complexity): app tutorials, "what is / how to" explainers on Shopify affiliate marketing, feature and app comparisons, case-study stories, and short-form cuts for YouTube Shorts.
• End-to-End Production: Take a topic or brief and produce the full video: write the script, edit the footage and screen recordings, add on-screen text, and package the final cut.
• Editing for Engagement: Shape the elements that determine whether a video performs: a strong hook, pacing and retention, on-screen text, callouts, transitions, thumbnails, simple motion graphics.
• AI-Assisted Workflow: Use AI tools across the process (scripting support, voiceovers, transcription, rough cuts, asset generation, and repurposing long-form into short-form) to keep output high without compromising quality.
• Brand Consistency: Apply UpPromote's visual guidelines across every video

• Strong editing skills (see "How to Apply").
• Experience editing screen-recording or software walkthrough videos, not just general video content.
• Range: comfort moving between a polished tutorial, a punchy short, and a story-driven case study.
• A working sense of YouTube as a growth channel: hooks, retention, thumbnails, titles, and how content connects to search and conversion.
• Fluency with AI tools to work faster and smarter. We want someone who uses AI to raise output and quality.
• A good eye for pacing, text placement, and visual clarity.
• Able to work independently and deliver clean output without heavy back-and-forth.
• English: minimum IELTS 6.5 or equivalent; comfortable reading resources and writing scripts.

Nice to have:

• Experience creating content for a SaaS, ecommerce, or Shopify audience.
• Motion graphics and thumbnail or design skills (Figma or similar).

Experience level is open. We value range, judgment and speed with AI over years or titles.
