About the Role

We are looking for a Strategic Investment Associate to own the operational and governance side of our investment activity. This is an execution and documentation role, not a research or advisory one. You will work directly with the founder to keep our cap tables, data rooms, and shareholder records accurate, organized, and audit-ready, and to coordinate directly with lawyers, banks, and fund administrators on live transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and reconcile cap tables across entities, cross-checking against the underlying agreements rather than trusting whichever file is labeled newest.
• Organize and manage data rooms for ongoing and upcoming transactions, with clear document structure and version control.
• Maintain shareholder registers and investment documentation, flagging inconsistencies or missing documents as risks, not just data gaps.
• Coordinate directly with external lawyers, banks, auditors, and fund administrators on documentation and process.
• Support KYC and due-diligence documentation for investment processes.
• Track and reconcile capital calls, distributions, and other investment cash movements against supporting notices and bank records.
• Flag discrepancies, stale documents, or governance gaps proactively, with a recommended next step rather than just a report.

• Real, hands-on experience in at least one of: cryptocurrency investing/trading, or US stock market investing/trading. General finance, research, or credential-only exposure to markets does not satisfy this on its own.
• Hands-on product-building experience with web coding skill. This is mandatory, not a differentiator.
• Strong written and spoken English, comfortable communicating directly with the founder, overseas lawyers, auditors, and investors without a buffer layer.
• High attention to detail and documentation discipline. Comfortable treating missing or inconsistent documents as a business risk to resolve, not just note.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with a lot of ambiguity and no established process to lean on.
• Flexible and reliable from day one. Rigidity about scope or hours before you have even started is a mismatch for this seat.
• CFA Level I (or equivalent demonstrable knowledge of financial analysis, valuation, and investment fundamentals).
• Prior experience with cap tables, data rooms, or shareholder record management.
• Chinese language proficiency.
• Background at a Big 4 firm, MNC, law firm, or international investment firm.
