Bosch is looking for Senior Telematics Software Engineers to develop next-generation connected vehicle solutions across Commercial Vehicle / Off-Highway and Passenger Car programs.

Depending on your technical expertise, you will work primarily in one of two areas: Embedded Linux/RTOS or Embedded Android/AOSP. You are not required to be an expert in both.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop and maintain embedded software for Telematics Control Unit (TCU) platforms.
• Develop vehicle communication and diagnostic functions using CAN/CAN-FD, J1939, UDS, DoIP and related automotive protocols.
• Develop connectivity features including 4G/5G, GNSS, MQTT/HTTPS and cloud communication.
• Develop and maintain OTA (FOTA/SOTA), remote diagnostics and vehicle data services.
• Perform software integration, debugging, testing and vehicle-level validation.
• Collaborate with global OEM customers, platform, cloud/backend and hardware teams.
• Depending on your expertise, contribute to either:
  • Embedded Linux/RTOS: Linux-based TCU development, Yocto/Buildroot and embedded platform integration; OR
  • Embedded Android/AOSP: AOSP/Android Automotive, HAL/VHAL, AIDL/HIDL, Android System Services and Linux-to-Android platform migration.

Your Skills and Experience

What You Need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Embedded Software, Automotive, Telematics or related fields.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++.
• Good understanding of embedded systems and software development.
• Experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN/CAN-FD, UDS, DoIP or J1939.
• Experience with connectivity, diagnostics, OTA or telematics is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD and embedded debugging/testing tools.

We welcome candidates with strong expertise in EITHER of the following tracks:

Embedded Linux / RTOS

• Embedded Linux and/or RTOS
• Yocto / Buildroot
• ARM-based embedded platforms
• Embedded connectivity and networking

OR

Embedded Android / AOSP

• Embedded Android / AOSP / Android Automotive
• HAL / VHAL and AIDL / HIDL
• Android System Services
• SELinux and Android build system
• Linux-to-Android migration experience is highly preferred

You do not need to meet both tracks. Strong expertise in either Embedded Linux/RTOS or Embedded Android/AOSP is welcome.
