BASIC FUNCTION OF THE JOB:

• Understand and apply EHS requirements, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, 6S, legal requirements, global requirements, and customer requirements throughout the factory and its related activities.
• Understand and apply the principles, theories, concepts, techniques, and standards of EHS.
• Continuously review risk assessments throughout the company.
• Conduct EHS audits throughout the company and support improvement activities.
• Manage hazardous materials and conduct evaluations.
• Support the preparation and execution of EHS training to raise EHS awareness.
• Maintain, implement, and improve EHS procedures and standards in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and corporate standards and policies.
• Coordinate with relevant departments and external organizations to achieve EHS KPIs.
• Investigate and prevent near misses, incidents, and accidents in accordance with legal requirements and established procedures.
• Continuously improve EHS standards, programs, tools, training, and work processes in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and corporate standards and policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the EHS function at designated sites and provide support to other sites.
• Work on problems of moderate scope where the analysis of situations or data requires a review of various factors.
• Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions.
• Prepare reports for review by others regarding content and writing quality; participate in meetings, express opinions, offer ideas, and listen effectively.
• Establish productive internal and external working relationships.
• Follow established directions.
• Complete routine work and receive detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
• Be able to work effectively across cultures and be willing to travel domestically and internationally as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Planning and implementing the EHS Program (40%)

• Responsible for implementing and administering all EHS programs, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements, policies, and procedures, in compliance with all applicable provincial, state, and local statutory requirements.
• Conduct EHS audits and reviews, recommend corrective and preventive measures, and oversee their implementation to improve safety and environmental standards.
• Responsible for EHS permit-to-work procedures and contractor management in accordance with EHS procedures.
• Responsible for managing EHS issues, near misses, incidents, and accidents to ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Responsible for EHS data reporting at the site.
• Take action to achieve KPIs.
• Continuously review risk assessments throughout the company.
• Support and conduct local EHS performance reviews, identify trends, and initiate and participate in problem-solving activities.
• Coordinate with respective departments to suggest EHS improvement programs.

2. Regulatory Compliance (40%)

• Ensure the effectiveness and validity of all EHS licenses at the VSIP site.
• Ensure that all plant operations, policies, and practices comply with internal and external safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards.
• Update and assess compliance with all applicable EHS laws and implement activities based on government documentation requirements.
• Define timelines and plans for items that need to be completed to meet legal requirements.
• Ensure that all program documentation is complete and up to date and that required audits are conducted and documented.
• Provide EHS training courses based on legal and other requirements.
• Ensure that existing programs are followed and maintained according to the frequency and scope specified in the documentation.
• Coordinate with respective departments to ensure the accurate and timely submission of all required regulatory reports to government authorities at the provincial, state, and local levels.
• Develop and implement a hazardous material control process for the plant.

3. Other 20%

• Ensure that all documents are maintained and updated in accordance with regulations.
• Support other tasks assigned by the department to ensure smooth operations. Participate in company activities such as internal audits, communications, and EHS campaigns.
• Respond to requirements from the EHS Manager.

Yêu cầu công việc

Education: University graduate with a major in EHS or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in EHS operations, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

Special Skills and Certifications:

• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Certified Safety Officer, Group 2.
• Certified EHS Trainer (Train-the-Trainer).
• Skills in risk assessment, training, root cause analysis, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and safety observation.
• Good knowledge of EHS programs, including fall protection, electrical safety, chemical safety, fire protection, LOTO, 5S, ergonomics, EHS reviews, industrial hygiene, and environmental protection.
