The main task will be:

1. Conduct the research to identify and manage companies and potential leads with potential software license compliance violations

2. Handle warning letters related to software license violations

3. Negotiate settlements with companies involved in software license violations

4. Continuously monitor changes in software vendors’ licensing policies, licensing models, and usage metrics in relation to software license compliance

5. Conduct research and analysis to stay up to date with ongoing technological and regulatory developments in software licensing and compliance

Candidate requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in business administration or related

• Some experience in software sales

• Knowledge of the theories, principles and practices of information technology, organizational structure and business administration, including the ability to determine goals and resource needs

• Knowledge state procurement laws and practices related to information technology

• Skills to apply innovative thinking with a technical understanding of emerging technologies to address needs and problems of providing services

• Experience collaborating with project teams to understand licensing and procurement requirements and make recommendations on how to best achieve optimal outcome

• Analyze vendor licensing models and cost scenarios of alternative options to determine optimal licensing and deployment strategies.

• If possible, knowledge and experience managing software audits

• If possible, experience with vendors including Microsoft, Adobe, SAP, IBM, Oracle and others to interpret software license agreements to determine necessary compliance with licensing metrics

• Skills to assess and solve complex problems, devise methodologies and solutions and perform analyses

• Ability to relate relevant information about hardware, software and telecommunications operations, data management and analysis in management applications and interactions and interpreting results

• Ability to clearly and concisely form and express ideas and concepts

• Ability to interpret and present technical information and findings to varied audiences

• Negotiation skills

• English fluency and Chinese preferred
