Job Description

We are seeking a Power BI Senior / Lead Developer with solid experience in developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models for enterprise applications. The candidate should have a good understanding of data modeling, data architecture, Power BI performance, and collaboration within Scrum/Agile projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in business and functional requirements review sessions to clarify reporting and data requirements.
• Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic data models based on business requirements.
• Design and optimize Fact/Dimension models and Star Schema to support reporting and analytics.
• Develop and optimize DAX measures and Power BI models to improve report performance.
• Analyze and troubleshoot Power BI performance issues across reports, semantic models, and underlying data sources.
• Work with data sources, data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehouses to ensure reliable data delivery.
• Work with Import, DirectQuery, and Composite Models and understand their appropriate use cases.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Developers, Architects, and Business teams to deliver Power BI solutions.
• Participate in technical discussions, solution reviews, and provide guidance on Power BI development best practices.
• Support and troubleshoot Power BI solutions in development, testing, and production environments.
• Contribute to documentation, technical standards, and continuous improvement of Power BI solutions.

Required skills/Experience

• 2+ years of experience in Power BI development, preferably at Senior Developer or Lead level.
• Solid experience with Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and DAX.
• Good understanding of Star Schema, Fact/Dimension tables, relationships, and data modeling.
• Experience with Power BI performance tuning, DAX/model optimization, troubleshooting, and performance diagnostics.
• Good understanding of Import, DirectQuery, and Composite Models.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data warehouses, and data sources.
• Good SQL skills with experience working with relational databases and/or large datasets.
• Knowledge of Power BI Service and Power BI Embedded is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Scrum/Agile development processes.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with business and technical teams.
• Good English communication skills.
• TOEIC score of 650 or higher, with good English communication skills
• Having following knowledge is a plus:.NET Development (BE/FE/Full stack)
• Experience with Power BI Embedded, Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or cloud data platforms.
• Experience with enterprise data warehouse and large-scale BI solutions.
• Knowledge of data security, Row-Level Security (RLS), and governance.
• Experience with Power BI deployment, CI/CD, or deployment pipelines.
• Experience providing technical guidance or mentoring to other developers.
• Understanding data security, compliance, and interoperability in networking environments.
