About the Role

We are looking for an experienced

MEP Engineer to support construction projects by overseeing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) and Fire Protection works. The role is responsible for ensuring construction activities comply with approved designs, specifications, QA/QC requirements and project standards while supporting testing, commissioning and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct site inspections and supervision of MEP works, including electrical, ELV, HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection and utility systems to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.

Review MEP drawings, shop drawings, method statements, ITPs and inspection plans prior to construction and inspection activities.

Coordinate inspection activities, material inspections, testing and commissioning works with contractors, consultants and project stakeholders.

Witness and verify key tests and commissioning activities, including pressure tests, insulation resistance tests, continuity tests, functional tests and system commissioning.

Identify, report and follow up on non-conformances (NCRs), defects and technical issues until corrective actions are completed.

Monitor project progress, quality performance and construction risks, while maintaining accurate inspection records, reports and project documentation.

Support compliance with project HSE requirements and ensure effective coordination among clients, consultants, contractors and SGS project teams.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum

3-5 years of experience in MEP construction supervision, QA/QC, site engineering, testing or commissioning for building and industrial projects.

Solid knowledge of MEP systems, including electrical, ELV, HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire protection systems.

Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, shop drawings, method statements and QA/QC documentation.

Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors and subcontractors in a construction environment.

Good reporting, communication and problem-solving skills. English communication is an advantage.

Certifications in MEP supervision, QA/QC, HSE, or experience with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM or Bluebeam are preferred.
