• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of MEP engineers and subcontractors.
• Develop detailed MEP construction plans and schedules for the project.
• Responsible for the management of the MEP site team including mentoring, scheduling their activities, leading coordination meetings, recruitment and performance management of the team members.
• Responsible for setting up the MEP QA/QC management system (ITP and checklists).
• Directing the MEP site team through all construction phases of a project including subcontractors coordination and all aspects of site management.
• Check and ensure the project brief, all design briefs, MEP drawings and specifications and all project relevant information are executed as per client objectives.
• Liaise with suppliers of electrical and specialty systems, plumbing and fire safety materials/equipment, HVAC, etc.
• Oversee the procurement of materials and MEP equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications and special attention for long lead items.
• Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors for the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Review, comment and recommend courses of action for all MEP technical submittals, materials, shop drawings, method statements, etc., for final approval.
• Monitoring MEP system installation progress, quality and safety, and initiating action to rectify any non-conformance.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to the industrial project.
• Perform regular site inspections and ensure all MEP work is on track and completed within the established timelines.
• Conduct inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to established standards.
• Oversee the commissioning and testing of MEP systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with project standards.
• Participate in project risk analysis and proactively propose solutions for handling and prevention.
• Preparing MEP progress information for inclusion in the project report, providing all relevant information to the Project Manager.
• Monitoring the preparation of MEP contractors' IPC relevant certificates and submission to the client for payment.
• Ensuring the inclusion in the contract and subsequently requesting the design team and contractors to supply the client with as-built documentation, including but not limited to installation drawings, operations and maintenance manuals.
• Participate in meetings on the site as required.
• Implement the MEP management work by digital tool (Polaris app: technical submissions, document management, ITP, quality checklists, safety observations, testing & commissioning…).
• Cease subcontractors from continuing work if concerns are identified with safety, quality, method statements or any other non-conformance.
• Recruitment of MEP Engineers/Supervisors as required by the Project Manager.
• Overall management of MEP construction work, highlighting any issues with site management to the Project Manager.

• Possess degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, preferably Mechanical.
• Possess Construction & Supervision Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in MEP management and site experience including industrial factories, logistics warehouses, medical factories including clean rooms.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is a pre-requisite.
• Intermediate working knowledge of software used in project management including Microsoft Project, Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good technical knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing works, infrastructure, construction and associated finishing works.
• Understanding of Vietnam Construction / Fire Fighting / Electrical / Environment regulations.
• Advanced technical skills in construction management, and especially industrial construction, with the ability to train and mentor others to develop further their skills in contractor(s) management, safety, quality management, and site-based design management.
• Advanced attention to detail, particularly in respect to contractual requirements, design/site drawings, quality of MEP works and MEP construction standard methods.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear reports, site instructions/memos and meeting minutes that are clear and understandable.
• Intermediate client management skills, including demonstrable persuasiveness, negotiation skills and inter-personal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and other relevant construction software.
• Previous experience managing multicultural project teams in an expatriate environment in Asia would be a plus.
• Willingness to work on a daily basis and work overtime as required.
• Willingness to control the MEP works for several projects at the same time as required.
• Honesty, loyalty and dedication are a must.
