The SMBC Internship Program provides students with valuable real-world experience and practical banking knowledge through active job training and exposure to daily business operations. Interns will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of Vietnam-Japan economic developments and the broader global economy while working in a professional banking environment.

We are seeking talented undergraduate students to join the SMBC Internship Program. This program offers valuable learning and hands-on working opportunities across a wide range of banking functions in many departments, including:

• Corporate Banking

• Banking Operations

• Treasury

• Information Technology

• Legal & Compliance

• Human Resources & General Affairs

• Internship duration : 03 – 06 months up on specific positions (Working mode part time or full time are accepted)

• Education Level Undergraduate students (Last year in the university)

• Major:

- Banking & Finance, Economics…

- Information Technology, Computer Science…

- Law, Legal & Compliance…

• Grade Point Average : 8/10 and above, or equivalent

• Language Proficiency:

- English: Fluent (IELTS 7.0 or equivalent);

- Japanese proficiency is preferable

• Other soft skills (Preferrable)

- Any extracurricular activities

- Any national/university awards

- Good communication, good time management, interpersonal skills, responsible, trustworthy, patient, detailed-oriented, good office computer skills, strong AI and automation capabilities.

• Required documents for recruitment & pre-employment checks (applied for all the interns):

- Application includes

1. Application letter for Internship written & signed by student (original one submitted on the joining date)

2. Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English

3. Copy of university transcript

- Documents / checks required for onboarding

1. Copy of university transcript certified by the University

2. Introduction letter issued by the University
