• DXC Global Infrastructure Services (GIS) manages and modernizes IT infrastructure for the world's largest enterprises through agentic, platform-led operations. We deliver cloud, security, workplace, infrastructure and business-process services that shift operations from reactive support to proactive, outcome-driven service delivery at scale, with human-in-the-loop governance.
• DXC Infrastructure Services deliver agentic operations through DXC OASIS to manage large‑scale, mission‑critical environments. Autonomous, policy‑governed agents anticipate issues, optimize performance, and support remediation with human‑in‑the‑loop control, shifting operations from reactive support to pre‑emptive, resilient service delivery.
• About the Role
• DXC Technology is seeking an experienced
• Infrastructure Architect to join our team in Madrid, supporting a major enterprise account within a hybrid environment built on a strong on-premises backbone. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role for a professional who has spent years designing and evolving infrastructure across VMware, Oracle Exadata, and hybrid platforms, and who is passionate about automating everything that can be automated.
• In this role, you will design and implement end-to-end infrastructure solutions spanning compute, storage, network, and cloud, while developing architecture blueprints, standards, and roadmaps aligned with business needs. You will lead migrations from legacy environments to modern platforms, drive automation and optimization through scripting and AI-driven approaches, and collaborate closely with cross-functional and international teams covering network, cloud, security, and applications.
• Beyond the technical scope, you will act as a trusted advisor, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring performance, availability, security, and compliance across the infrastructure, and performing capacity planning and forecasting to support business growth. This is a role built around real, evolving infrastructure — not theoretical architecture — offering meaningful impact within a global company that maintains strong local teams and international collaboration.
• Essential Job Functions
• Design and implement end-to-end infrastructure solutions across compute, storage, network, and cloud
• Develop architecture blueprints, standards, and roadmaps aligned with business needs
• Lead migrations from legacy environments to modern platforms such as HPE PCBE
• Drive automation and optimization through scripting and AI-driven approaches
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams spanning network, cloud, security, and applications across international teams
• Ensure performance, availability, security, and compliance across the infrastructure
• Perform capacity planning and forecasting based on business growth
• Act as a trusted advisor, translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Basic Qualifications
• Solid experience as an Infrastructure Architect in enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in VMware (HPE PCBE is a big plus) and Oracle Exadata
• Hands-on experience with scripting and infrastructure automation (Rundeck or similar)
• High level of English — you'll work daily with international teams
• Based in or willing to relocate to Madrid
• Other Qualifications
• Experience with Zerto, Commvault, and Guardicore
• Knowledge of Azure and OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)
• Networking expertise
• Familiarity with AI tools applied to infrastructure optimization
• Experience in hybrid environments with a predominantly on-prem strategy
