I. ROLE PURPOSE

We are looking for an SAP Solution Engineer/SAP Executive to take technical ownership of our SAP landscape. Today that means our SAP Business One installation: keeping it running, resolving user issues, and delivering new configuration and enhancements as the business grows. Over time it means preparing the ground for a future move to SAP S/4HANA.

This is a hands-on ownership role. You will be the person who knows how the system is actually configured, why it behaves the way it does, and what it will take to change it. You are expected to understand the business processes behind the system well enough to challenge a requirement before it gets built, not only to implement what you are handed.

Works with: Finance, Supply Chain, Production, Retail Operations, Data & BI

II. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

System ownership and support

- Take over full working knowledge of the current SAP Business One installation — configuration, customisations, integrations, and any undocumented behaviour — and document it.

- Provide day-to-day support to SAP users across Finance, Supply Chain, Production and Retail: investigate, resolve, and root-cause issues within agreed response times.

- Distinguish user error, data error, configuration gap and genuine defect — and fix the underlying cause.

- Manage escalations to our SAP partner or vendor, and hold them accountable for resolution quality.

Implementation and enhancement

- Translate business requirements into working configuration: user-defined fields and tables, formatted searches, approval procedures, document settings, authorisations.

- Build and maintain integrations between SAP and our operational systems (POS, e-commerce, internal platforms) using the Service Layer, DI API, or middleware.

- Write and review technical specifications; brief and supervise external developers where custom development is needed.

- Own unit testing and SIT, support business users through UAT, and manage release and change control.

- Push back on customisation that standard functionality already covers, and keep a record of every customisation and why it exists.

Master data

- Own SAP master data as a system: item/material, business partner, pricing, BOM/recipe, chart of accounts, cost centres.

- Define and enforce master data standards — naming, mandatory fields, ownership, approval flow.

- Build tooling for bulk creation, mass change, and validation; run regular data quality checks and drive remediation with business owners.

Reporting

- Build and maintain operational and financial reports (Crystal Reports, SAP B1 queries, dashboards).

- Work with the Data & BI team on extraction into the central analytics platform; agree what belongs in SAP and what belongs downstream.

- Rationalise the existing report estate — retire what is unused, standardise what is duplicated.

S/4HANA readiness (ongoing, not a project)

- Maintain a current inventory of processes, customisations, integrations and master data objects so a future migration starts from facts, not archaeology.

- Keep master data clean and structured in a way that will survive a migration.

- Flag any proposed customisation that would be difficult to carry forward.

- Build your own S/4HANA capability through training and certification, supported by the company.

III. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor‘s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Accounting/Finance, or a related field.

Experience

- 1–3 years hands-on experience implementing and supporting an ERP system (SAP, or a comparable enterprise ERP).

- Experience through at least one **full implementation or major rollout** — not support tickets alone. You have seen requirements, build, testing, cutover and the aftermath.

- Working understanding of core business processes end to end: **procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, record-to-report, inventory and production**. Deep enough to spot when a specification will not work before it gets built.

- **Strong SQL.** You can query, join, reconcile and investigate data independently. This is non-negotiable.

- Experience building reports for business users.

- Experience with system integration — APIs, file interfaces, or middleware.

- Structured and self-directed: able to take an undocumented system and make sense of it without being walked through it.

- Certification (mandatory): A current SAP Certified Associate qualification in S/4HANA

Language

- English — professional working proficiency.

- Vietnamese — professional working proficiency.

IV. NICE TO HAVE

- Exposure to **SAP S/4HANA or ECC** — configuration, CDS views, Fiori, or migration work.

- Experience in **F&B, retail, or manufacturing**: recipe/BOM management, production orders, multi-outlet inventory.

- ABAP debugging (reading and tracing, not writing).

- SAP certification.

- ClickUp, Jira, or similar delivery tooling.

- Experience working alongside an external implementation partner.

Relevant Experience

• Bachelor‘s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, or a related field.

• 1-2 years of experience in SAP, ERP, or enterprise business applications.

• Basic understanding of ERP concepts and business processes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication skills in both Vietnamese and English.

• Willingness to learn new SAP modules and technologies.

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Stakeholder Influence & Collaboration

Required: Experience collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to implement talent strategies.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of one or more SAP modules such as:

+ MM

+ FI/CO

+ PP

• Basic SQL knowledge.

• Basic ABAP debugging knowledge.

• Experience with SAP Business One.

• SAP certification is a plus.

• Experience using Clickup, Jira, or similar project management tools.
