Fabric Sourcing & Development Specialist (Total Annual Compensation Up-To 30,000 USD)

As the Fabric Sourcing & Development Specialist, you will identify, evaluate, and qualify mills, fabric suppliers, and trims/accessories suppliers, managing the full material sourcing process from supplier selection through production handover while meeting quality, cost, and delivery objectives. You will also drive fabric development - researching and proposing new materials aligned with product direction - and manage vendor relationships to continuously strengthen a reliable, high-performing material supply base.

This role requires a professional with deep industry knowledge, a strong network of mills and fabric/trims suppliers, and proven ability to negotiate, manage partners, and make data-driven sourcing decisions that support our business growth.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

1/ Sourcing & Partner Acquisition:

• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new garment manufacturing partners, fabric suppliers, and trims/accessories suppliers meeting company standards

• Lead the onboarding process for new partners, ensuring they understand operational requirements, objectives, and performance expectations.

• Educate and guide partners to become familiar with the company’s business processes, systems, and product categories.

• Continuously expanding network to new partners in different markets.

2/ Fabric Development

• Act as Fabric Developer: research, engineer, test, and propose new fabrics, knits, weaves, and trims aligned with product direction and target price points

• Partner with technical and design teams to create precise fabric performance specifications and care guidelines

3/ Partner Management

• Conduct regular performance reviews of fabric and trims/accessories suppliers, tracking lead time, output, quality, and compliance

• Implement improvement actions to meet business targets

• Negotiate terms and resolve issues to maintain long-term supplier relationships

4/ Production Coordination

• Collaborate with internal teams such as Technical Design, Merchandising, and Quality to align on product development requirements and timelines.

• Monitor production progress and proactively address risks or delays.

• Ensure product specifications and quality standards are clearly communicated and met throughout the production process.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Technology, Garment Technology, or a related field.

• 3-7 years’ sourcing experience in the garment industry, preferably in intimate apparel.

• Hands-on experience in fabric and trims/accessories sourcing within the garment industry

• Experience sourcing ready-made products on Taobao/Alibaba is a plus

• Existing network of garment manufacturing partners, fabric, and trims/accessories suppliers is a plus

• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and critical thinking skills

• Good command of English (verbal and written) and strong communication skills

• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting

• High integrity and professionalism
