1. Design Management and Control

- Participate in developing the design brief, scope of work, and list of deliverables for new projects.

- Participate in preparing Requests for Proposal (RFPs), including reviewing the scope and technical requirements for structural design consultancy services.

- Review and assess technical proposals from consultants; evaluate their qualifications and experience on comparable projects and consolidate recommendations for management review.

- Coordinate in establishing project implementation schedules and key design delivery milestones.

- Participate in project kick-off meetings, technical coordination meetings, and periodic progress meetings with consultants and relevant stakeholders.

- Implement and control assigned works in accordance with the Project Design Management Plan (PDMP).

- Coordinate, monitor, review, and control the work of structural design consultants to ensure that deliverables meet requirements for schedule, quality, technical compliance, and design standards.

- Monitor consultants’ progress against the approved design schedule; identify and promptly report issues that may impact project progress.

- Review, assess, and provide technical comments on drawings, calculations, documents, and submissions prepared by Design Consultants; consolidate design review comments and follow up on the resolution and closure of comments.

- Review reports submitted by Design Consultants, identify key issues, and report to management for timely resolution.

- Monitor the Risk Register for each project, assess structural design-related risks, and propose appropriate mitigation measures.

- Monitor design factors that may impact project costs and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure design solutions remain aligned with budget objectives.

- Participate in Value Engineering workshops with consultants to optimize structural solutions, control costs, and assess the advantages and disadvantages of proposed options.

- Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve design clashes and ensure the integration and constructability of structural solutions.

- Participate in site inspections, assess compliance between design documents and actual construction conditions, prepare inspection reports, and propose corrective actions when required.

Support management in preparing technical inputs, reports, and presentation materials for Senior Management/BOD when required.

2. Control of Design Standards and Procedures

- Control the application of the Design Management Plan (DMP) throughout the implementation of assigned projects.

- Review and apply standard RFP templates for structural design consultancy services, ensuring alignment with the scope and requirements of each project.

- Control compliance with the Company’s Design Standards in structural design activities.

- Review, apply, and propose updates and improvements to design review checklists.

- Update applicable codes, standards, statutory guidelines, and authority requirements related to structural design for use in design control activities.

- Ensure compliance with the Design Department’s processes, procedures, and operational guidelines throughout project implementation.

- Control the consistent application of design standards, procedures, and requirements across all project design stages.

- Periodically review Lessons Learned, monitor the implementation of corrective measures, and propose the application of relevant lessons to future projects.

- Propose the adoption of appropriate methodologies, tools, and industry best practices to improve the quality and effectiveness of design control activities.

Yêu cầu công việc

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural design; experience in Residential, Commercial, Hospitality, or large-scale projects is preferred.

- Strong experience in structural design and structural design control, with the ability to review and assess design documentation and coordinate effectively with design consultants.

- Proficient in AutoCAD, ETABS, and SAFE; knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.

- Proficient in common office applications such as PowerPoint and Excel.

- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; proactive, flexible, accountable, and capable of managing tasks in line with project schedules and deadlines.

- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to assess issues from an overall project perspective and propose appropriate solutions.

- Quick learner with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues during project implementation.
