Role Description

As a Senior Product Business Analyst, you will act as a core product driver for SimpleMDG, bridging strategic product goals with technical execution. Operating with a Product Owner mindset, you will own the product backlog, refine functional requirements, and shape the feature roadmap. While your primary focus is internal product execution, you will selectively participate in specific customer projects to engage with global stakeholders to analyze complex data governance requirements, drive product functional design, and support delivery.

Responsibilities

Product Backlog & Feature Delivery:

• Own, prioritize, and refine the product backlog to align with product roadmap goals and strategic engineering priorities.
• Write detailed user stories, epics, functional specifications, and clear acceptance criteria (Definition of Done).
• Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and requirement walkthroughs with development and QA teams.
• Define, track, and analyze key product metrics to measure feature adoption and overall product performance, using insights to guide product improvements and prioritization.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for dev teams to clarify functional requirements and resolve blocking business logic questions during sprints.
• Collaborate closely with QA to ensure test suites accurately cover complex business scenarios and edge cases.
• Identify potential product and delivery risks, dependencies, and blockers, and proactively work with stakeholders to mitigate their impact.

Process & Artifact Optimization:

• Refine internal documentation standards, functional templates, and product specification frameworks.
• Bridge knowledge sharing between client-facing implementation teams and internal core development squads.

Client Project Implementation (Selective / Project-based):

• Lead requirement-gathering sessions and discovery workshops with customers.
• Analyze customer pain points and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
• Conduct user training and onboarding sessions.
• Support UAT planning, coordination, and issue resolution.
• Act as a key point of contact for customers during implementation phases.

• The ability to work in the evening or early morning based on the project.
• Experience: 5+ years as a Product Business Analyst, Associate Product Owner, or Technical BA in SaaS, enterprise software, or data management domains (SAP/BTP ecosystem familiarity is a plus).
• Product Ownership: Proven expertise in backlog management, user story mapping, feature prioritization, and managing product delivery within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
• Technical & Domain Aptitude: Strong capability to dissect complex data governance workflows and enterprise business processes into clear product specifications.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and spoken English skills to effectively collaborate with global engineering, product, and client-facing teams.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
