JOB PURPOSE

To implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) system at Versigent Vietnam. The EHS Engineer is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable Vietnamese EHS legislation and company requirements, preventing workplace accidents and occupational illnesses, controlling environmental impacts, and promoting a proactive safety culture throughout the manufacturing plant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. EHS Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Vietnamese EHS regulations and company standards.
• Maintain EHS documentation, conduct audits and inspections, and follow up on corrective actions.

2. Occupational Safety & Health

• Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections of manufacturing processes, machinery, and equipment.
• Monitor PPE usage, occupational health risks, and safe working practices.
• Investigate incidents and implement preventive measures.

3. Environmental Management

• Monitor waste management, chemical safety, wastewater, emissions, and environmental compliance.
• Maintain relevant environmental records and promote environmental awareness.

4. Fire Safety & Emergency Response

• Inspect fire protection systems and emergency equipment; coordinate emergency drills and response training.

5. EHS Training & Improvement

• Conduct EHS training for employees and contractors.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to improve workplace safety and support continuous improvement.
• Perform other EHS-related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in EHS/HSE, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of Vietnamese EHS regulations, occupational safety, environmental management, fire safety, and emergency response.
• Good English communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports and communicate with foreign managers.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills; knowledge of ISO 14001/45001 is an advantage.
