Position Summary:

The ESH Engineer is responsible for managing Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) activities within the manufacturing facility. The position focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing workplace risks, preventing incidents, promoting environmental protection, and fostering a strong safety culture to support operational excellence and sustainable business growth. Responsibilities:

• Inspect, identify hazards, and assess risks in production areas; propose control Manage safety regarding machinery, equipment, chemicals, PPE, LOTO, and high-risk activities.

• Monitor fire prevention and control (PCCC) and emergency response; organize drills and inspect safety equipment.

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; track and close out corrective actions.

• Manage waste, chemicals, and environmental compliance requirements; maintain the operation of the domestic wastewater treatment system.

• Organize EHS training for new and existing employees (initial and periodic): occupational safety, fire safety, chemicals, PPE, emergency response, etc.

• Coordinate with HR to maintain SA8000 standards regarding a safe working environment, working hours, prohibition of child/forced labor, non-discrimination, and employee rights.

• Prepare documentation and coordinate the implementation of SA8000, ISO 14001, customer audits, and inspections by regulatory authorities.

• Conduct EHS inspections/internal audits and improve the factory's safety culture.

• Monitor and report on EHS KPIs periodically.

You Bring (requirements, preferred skills):

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

• Knowledge of occupational health & safety, environmental, fire safety, and SA8000 regulations.

• Knowledge of or certifications in ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SA8000, fire safety, or first aid are preferred.

• Understanding of wastewater treatment, exhaust gas treatment systems, and chemical management.

• Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, EHS training, and working with customers or external auditors.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and training skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and report preparation.

• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

• Proactive, responsible, honest, and capable of effective cross-departmental collaboration

Experience:

• 2–3 years of EHS/HSE experience in a manufacturing plant; experience in mechanical, machinery, or electronics sectors is preferred.

Education and Certifications:

• University degree in Safety, Environment, Engineering, or a related field.

You will need to be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, copier/printer etc as well as can remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

• Required to retrieve or reposition products like sewing machines weighing up to 50 pounds

• Any additional physical requirements
