Own the database layer behind our platforms (e.g., VietnamWorks, Upzi), our business systems (e.g., CRM, Microsoft Dynamics AX) and our data warehouse: schema, replication, performance, data consistency and access. Support developers and business teams with production data, and run the data pipelines and SQL reports built on the warehouse.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Database Operations: Review and apply schema changes across our databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Elasticsearch). Design and run replication (e.g., MySQL replication, SQL Server publication/subscription); check that replicas and the warehouse match the source, and fix any differences.
2. Performance Tuning: Find and fix slow queries, locks and bottlenecks with indexing, query rewrites and tuning.
3. Production Data Support & Automation: Support developers and business teams with production data: corrections, extracts, migrations and incident recovery. Automate routine database work with scripts (e.g., Python, Bash).
4. Data Pipelines & Reporting: Run data pipelines (e.g., Prefect, Airflow, dbt, CDC) into the data warehouse (e.g., ClickHouse, BigQuery, Snowflake) and build SQL reports in BI tools (e.g., Metabase, PostHog, Power BI, Tableau).
5. Backup, Security & Compliance: Monitor backups and verify them with regular restore tests. Manage database access and personal-data protection (Decree 13/2023/ND-CP).

Yêu cầu công việc

• Bachelor in Computer Science, IT or equivalent. 
• 2+ years administering production databases. 
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL): replication, backup/restore, indexing, performance tuning. 
• Supported production data for developers and business teams (e.g., corrections, migrations, incident recovery). 
• Strong SQL (e.g., complex queries, stored procedures, window functions). 
• A scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash); Linux and version control (e.g., Git). 
• Plus – other databases (e.g., SQL Server incl. publication/subscription, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis); analytical databases (e.g., ClickHouse, BigQuery). 
• Plus – pipeline tools (e.g., Prefect, Airflow, dbt, Kafka); BI tools (e.g., Metabase, PostHog, Power BI); containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 
• Behavioural: careful, checklist-first work on production data; ownership of uptime and data correctness; clear communication with developers and business teams.
