Purpose Of The Job:

Lead process development, process control and process improvement for in-plant machining (cutting, CNC, etc.), including trial-production verification, production data collection and analysis, failure analysis and prevention, and production efficiency and capacity improvement.

Principal Accountabilities/Main Tasks:

1. CNC Process Development and Standardization
2. Develop, validate and optimize CNC machining processes, including CNC programming, machining parameters, tooling, fixtures and process routing.
3. Establish and maintain standard cycle times, setup times, work instructions and machining process specifications.
4. Support NPI, trial production, process qualification and engineering changes.
5. Capacity Planning and Productivity Improvement
6. Calculate and maintain CNC machine capacity based on standard cycle time, available working hours, machine availability, fixture configuration and production requirements.
7. Analyze bottlenecks, machine loading, cycle-time losses and capacity gaps; recommend actions to meet production demand.
8. Lead initiatives to reduce cycle time, improve UPH, optimize machine utilization and increase labor productivity.
9. Evaluate and validate improvement results through production trials and actual performance data.
10. Process Quality and Problem Solving
11. Investigate machining and cross-process quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
12. Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to reduce scrap, rework and recurring defects.
13. Support PFMEA, control plans and process risk assessments where applicable.
14. Tooling and Cost Optimization
15. Optimize cutting tools, tool paths, fixtures, tool life and changeover methods to improve machining performance and reduce manufacturing costs.
16. Standardize CNC programs, tool lists, machining parameters and technical databases.
17. Evaluate automation and other technical solutions to improve productivity and process stability.
18. Performance Monitoring and Technical Development
19. Monitor CNC KPIs, including standard versus actual cycle time, capacity versus demand, UPH, OEE, utilization, scrap rate and tooling cost.
20. Prepare regular performance reports and drive corrective actions for gaps against targets.
21. Develop technical standards and training plans to strengthen CNC programming, process engineering and troubleshooting capabilities within the team.
22. Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Education:

Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering

Quantitative Data/Dimensions/KPI:

• Machining yield/scrap rate
• CNC cycle time and capacity vs. target
• Machine utilization / OEE
• Recurrence of machining quality issues
• Technician training plan completion

Skills/Knowledge/Experience – Required:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of mechanical machining experience, including at least 3 years of CNC programming and debugging.
• CNC Systems: Familiar with FANUC and Mitsubishi control systems.
• Software: Skilled in CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidWorks, UG (NX), Pro/E (Creo) and AutoCAD; proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Materials: Familiar with machining process flows and parameters for aluminum alloy, copper, stainless steel and other materials.
• Language: English communication skills.
• Personal Attributes: Strong communication skills and a strong sense of quality and Lean production.

Preferred:

• Precision Parts: Experience in machining precision structural parts.
• VSM: Practical experience in Value Stream Mapping (VSM) improvement.

Work Location & Working Hours:

• Work Location: Yen Phong Industrial Park Expansion, Tam Da Commune, Bac Ninh Province
• Working Hours: 08:00–17:00, Monday to Saturday, with 25 Saturdays off per year. Saturday attendance is flexible depending on the nature of the role and department requirements, and on-site presence on Saturdays is not mandatory.
