1. POSITION SUMMARY

The Interpreter & Translator serves as the strategic communication bridge between Huawei's senior executives/technical experts and Vietnamese government leaders (Ministries, Departments, Provincial authorities) and C-level executives of large enterprises (CEO, CIO, CTO, Board of Directors). This role goes beyond technical translation – it requires diplomatic finesse, commercial acumen, and cultural intelligence to facilitate high-stakes negotiations, strategic partnerships, and national-scale digital transformation projects.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

2.1 High-Level Interpretation

· Provide professional consecutive and simultaneous interpretation during:

· Executive briefings and strategic meetings between Huawei leadership and Government officials (Ministers, Vice Ministers, Directors General).

· Commercial negotiations with C-level executives of large enterprises (banks, telecom operators, energy groups, conglomerates).

· Steering Committee meetings, project kick-offs, and milestone reviews for mega-projects (e.g., national broadband, smart city, digital transformation).

2.2 Diplomatic & Executive Communication

· Act as a cultural and diplomatic bridge, ensuring:

· Appropriate formality, honorifics, and protocols are observed.

· Negotiation nuances (indirect cues, face-saving, trust-building) are accurately conveyed.

· Sensitive topics (pricing, timelines, political implications) are handled with absolute discretion and professionalism.

· Prepare talking points, briefing memos, and executive summaries in bilingual format (Chinese ⇔ Vietnamese / English) for Huawei leadership prior to key meetings.

2.3 Stakeholder Coordination

· Accompany Huawei executives on business trips, site visits, Data Center tours, and VIP customer visits – providing seamless on-site interpretation.

· Coordinate between internal teams (technical, sales, legal, project management) and external stakeholders (government agencies, enterprise clients, partners) to ensure clear communication flow.

· Manage meeting protocols – from agenda preparation and seating arrangements to follow-up documentation.

2.4 Event & Training Support

· Interpret at workshops, conferences, and seminars such as:

· Huawei Cloud Summit, Digital Vietnam Conference.

· Executive technology briefings for government leaders.

· Huawei Certified Training (HCIA/HCIP/HCIE) sessions (as needed).

Yêu cầu công việc

At least 5 years of working experience as Interpretation Excellence Professional consecutive & simultaneous interpretation skills for formal, high-stakes settings

Language Mastery Fluent Chinese (Mandarin), Vietnamese, and professional English

Diplomatic Protocol Deep understanding of Vietnamese.
