Warehouse Transportation Last Mile Manager

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute warehouse and transportation strategies that improve service levels, cost efficiency, agility, and delivery performance.
• Manage 3PL warehousing, transport partners, logistics agreements, SLAs, and vendor performance to ensure operational continuity and customer satisfaction.
• Drive cost optimization through route planning, freight and warehouse cost control, structural cost reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, stock segregation, reconciliation, returns, recalls, and warehouse space utilization.
• Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, safety, health, environmental, audit, tax, and statutory requirements.
• Identify and mitigate logistics risks, including cold chain, market logistics, fire safety, regulatory changes, climate-related impacts, and supply disruptions.
• Partner with Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, and external logistics providers to deliver effective, customer-centric logistics solutions.

WHO YOU ARE

• Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate qualification or diploma in Supply Chain Management preferred.
• 8–10 years of experience in warehouse management and logistics operations, preferably within the pharmaceutical, medical device, or other highly regulated industries. Experience in multinational organizations is preferred. Candidates from FMCG or similarly complex supply chain environments are also encouraged to apply.
• Hands-on experience with SAP, particularly SD and MM modules.
• Strong understanding of supply chain systems, digital tools, emerging technologies, process improvement, and change management. Someone who is very strong in strategy.
• Proven ability to solve complex business problems, manage stakeholders across all levels, and work effectively across the value chain.
• Good financial and accounting knowledge, with strong analytical, communication, and business ethics capabilities.
• Resilient, assertive, adaptable, and able to perform effectively in a changing and high-pressure environment.
• Fluent written and spoken Japanese and English.
