Doraverse builds a secure, integrated AI platform for businesses worldwide, with a focus on Japan. Our products support AI chat, meeting notes, content creation, and automation of legal and HR workflows, including reviewing contracts, analyzing documents, and answering domain-specific questions.

Your Role

You will lead the technical development of one or more products or product areas within the Doraverse ecosystem. Working with the team, you will clarify user problems, define the approach, design solutions, and write code, then continue monitoring and improving the product after launch.

This role combines hands-on engineering with team leadership and involvement in product direction. You can assess the impact of your work through user feedback, adoption, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the team to identify the problems to solve, agree on scope, and set priorities based on real user needs.
• Write product requirements documents (PRDs) in business language, and create technical documentation covering architecture, data flows, APIs, databases, migrations, and rollout plans.
• Write code and lead code reviews. Establish and maintain standards for testing, logging, and error handling.
• Allocate work, guide engineers, and remove blockers. Standardize how the team uses AI coding tools and ensure the quality of AI-generated code.
• Design and implement authentication, tenant-level access control, personal data protection, and secrets management.
• Set up development environments with Docker Compose. Coordinate with DevOps and QA to deploy to staging and validate releases before production deployment. Monitor infrastructure and AI costs.
• Monitor errors, performance, and usage metrics. Respond to incidents, investigate root causes, and improve the product using data and user feedback.

Experience and Approach

• You have at least 5 years of software development experience, including at least 2 years as a Tech Lead or technical owner of a product, and hold a university degree.
• You have a product mindset, use data to set priorities, and are willing to challenge requirements. You can write PRDs for nontechnical readers and technical documentation and API contracts for developers.
• You are proficient with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Codex. You can write effective prompts, review AI-generated code, and help the team use these tools effectively.

Required Technical Skills

• You have production-level expertise in at least one of the following backend stacks and can read and modify code in the others: Go (Echo, concurrency, gRPC), Node.js/TypeScript (Express/NestJS), and Python (async programming, FastAPI).
• You understand frontend development well enough to review code and make technical decisions involving React, TypeScript, Next.js, Zustand/Redux, and TanStack Query.
• You have experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis, including schema design, migrations, query optimization, caching, queues, and locks. You understand the trade-offs involved in selecting these technologies.
• You understand microservice architecture, REST, gRPC, Kafka, SSE/WebSocket, and Docker, and have experience using structured logging, Sentry, and OpenTelemetry for system observability.
• You have integrated LLM/AI providers, worked with multiple providers and streaming responses, and managed costs and output quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• You have shipped AI/LLM products to production using RAG (pgvector), agents/tool calling, or real-time speech-to-text.
• You have built multi-tenant SaaS products with workspaces, access control, billing, or credits, and are familiar with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
• You have built AI agent workflows for team-wide use, including subagents, MCP, skills, and hooks.
• You have worked with Japanese clients or in the Japanese market and have strong communication skills in Japanese or English.
