Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance and Planning

• Ensure timely preparation and submission of all tax filings (corporate income tax, VAT, transfer pricing, FCT, etc.).
• Monitor tax law changes and regulations, and ensure that the company remains compliant.
• Provide tax planning advice, structure transactions, and optimize the company’s tax position.
• Liaise with tax authorities on issues and audits.
• Assist in the preparation of tax provisions for financial reporting purposes.

Legal Support

• Oversee corporate legal matters including contract management, and commercial agreements.
• Advise senior management on legal risks and recommend strategies for risk mitigation.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel when required, ensuring effective management of legal disputes and issues.
• Ensure corporate governance practices are followed and maintain company legal records.

Regulatory Compliance

• Stay updated on relevant local, national, and international regulatory frameworks, ensuring the business is in full compliance.
• Lead the implementation of internal controls related to tax and legal matters.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with finance, operations, and IMEX teams to manage tax-related and legal aspects of business operations.
• Support business development teams in structuring deals or negotiating contracts.

Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare and review reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders on tax and legal matters.
• Maintain and organize legal and tax documentation, ensuring that records are accurate and up to date.

Working Conditions

• Full-time position, office-based with occasional travel (if applicable).
• Reports to Finance Manager.
