Overview: Store Manager Trainee (SMT) 2026 Program is a 6-month fast-track leadership development journey designed to develop high-potential talents into Store Managers at Highlands Coffee. The SMT will progressively take responsibility for overseeing daily store operations, ensuring consistent operations and service quality to provide a superior Highlands Coffee modern Vietnamese hospitality experience to all customers.
Through structured learning, hands-on experience and coaching, the SMT will build business understanding and practical management skills to achieve store financial targets, manage people and resources effectively, ensure consistent product and service quality while maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable store environment.

Job description:

• Store Operations Management
  • Ensure effective Store Operations in compliance with HC operational policies and procedures, including cash handling procedures and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all employees during each shift.
  • Plan daily activities, allocate tasks and follow up on execution to ensure smooth store operations.
  • Ensure employees comply with company policies, procedures and operational standards, including BFSCE, behavior and uniform requirements.
  • Ensure goods and materials are fresh and properly stored and handled, and products are prepared accurately according to formulas, ingredients and visual standards before serving customers.
  • Monitor store cleanliness, premises and equipment condition, and follow up on maintenance needs.
  • Support the DM in handling operational issues and relevant permits or government requirements as assigned.
• Customer Service Excellence
  • Deliver dedicated service to all customers, keeping customers as a top priority and ensuring consistent service standards.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Anticipate customer and store needs by continuously observing the store environment and customer feedback.
  • Follow up with store employees during shifts to ensure consistent and excellent customer service.
• Sales & Cost Control
  • Monitor store sales performance against targets and identify appropriate actions to support sales achievement.
  • Implement marketing programs effectively by communicating promotions to store employees, ensuring accurate execution, and coaching employees on suggestive selling techniques.
  • Monitor and control cost of goods and labor while maintaining product quality.
  • Complete activity-related reports and analyze store performance data to monitor results and identify areas for improvement.
• Team Management & Development
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of store employees.
  • Provide on-the-job guidance and feedback to employees during daily operations.
  • Participate in employee performance evaluation, store audits, and retraining activities as required.
• Inventory & Equipment Management
  • Monitor store inventory levels and ensure compliance with established par levels.
  • Support inventory replenishment based on customer demand, historical data, and store requirements.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of goods and materials in line with company standards.
  • Conduct and follow up on daily, mid-month, and month-end inventory activities and records.
  • Monitor equipment condition and coordinate maintenance to support smooth operations and consistent product quality.

• Final-year student or fresh graduate.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Management or related fields is an advantage.
• No prior management experience required.
• Experience in retail, F&B, hospitality or customer service is an advantage.
