JOB SUMMARY 

Motor design and support a team in a new product development and an existing product improvement. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Follow up product development from initial design stage to mass production. 
2. Make motor drawings, specifications and BOM. 
3. Design review and validation. 
4. Work with purchasing in component development and validation. 
5. Conduct component cost analysis for new development products. 
6. Conduct cost reduction program for existing products. 
7. Coordinate with all teams to monitor new project development. 
8. Ensuring NPI project timelines are met. 
9. Support quality and/or process issues on motors in production.

- Education: University Degree in Electrical and Electronic, Mechanical, Industrial, Production or other related Engineering discipline or equivalent. 

- Experience: Minimum 2 years relevant experiences in project follow up in the engineering industry. Working in power tools field is an advantage. 

- Knowledge: 

• Knowledge in motor design & manufacturing process, BLDC is preferred. 
• Good computer experience with Windows, Microsoft Office, email communication, CAD. 
• Familiar with application for safety approval such as UL, CSA, CE, BS, SAA. 
• Understand well Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). 
• Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) for product optimization and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles during product development. 

- Functional Skills: 

• Motor knowledge, BLDC is preferred. 
• Machining, die casting, plastic injection molding knowledge. 
• Product design, CAD knowledge. 
• Safety approval knowledge. 
• Technical problem-solving skills. 
• Project management technique. 
• Project planning and scheduling. 

- Other Abilities:
