We evaluate the landscape through diverse lenses and complement traditional market research with techniques. Get to Know the Role

You will be in a position of Competitive Strategy. You will gather raw market data, interpreting intel and data collected and translating it into relevant recommendations that shape Grab's operational direction. This role will report into Lead Market Analyst and will based onsite in Bangkok's office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

Deliver Strategic Market Insights

Conduct mixed-methods research (quantitative and qualitative) to analyze market dynamics and trends, delivering clear, relevant recommendations to business leaders.

Partner with Business Teams

Align research priorities with operational and strategic goals to provide relevant, support for important decisions.

Scale Intelligence Infrastructure

Partner with the data team to build scalable tools and systems for gathering market intelligence and tracking industry shifts.

Lead Regional Field Operations

Support and guide a 30-person ground operations team in Thailand to ensure consistent and data collection.

Develop Talent

Coach team members across research methodologies, analysis, and communication, encouraging skill development through regular constructive feedback.

Manage Vendor Partnerships

• Build relationships with external research firms and data providers to supplement intelligence capabilities.
• Skills you need
• What Essential Skills You Will Need
• You have at least 5 years of experience from consulting management or relevant technology sector is a plus.
• Critical thinking and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate evidence from multiple sources and draw sound conclusions in ambiguous situations.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear narratives and applicable recommendations that influence stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively across teams and build collaborative relationships with business, technology and research partners.
• Proficiency in spoken Thai to guide the ground operations team and engage with local stakeholders.
• Adaptability and the ability to manage evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Thailand and to other Southeast Asian countries.
