Role Overview

We are a Macau-based casino gaming technology company providing technology solutions to international casino operators and gaming businesses worldwide. 

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to develop and maintain web-based management applications and interactive browser-based gaming clients. The primary focus will be modern React and TypeScript frontend development, with exposure to Cocos Creator, real-time communication and WebRTC-based video streaming.

* Strong React/TypeScript candidates with relevant interactive or real-time experience should also be considered. Cocos Creator and WebRTC would be an advantage, but is not essential.

The role involves working in an international environment, with English used regularly for day-to-day communication and collaboration.

Our Candidate Profile

• Comfortable working across conventional web UI and interactive/game-client functionality.
• Strong attention to usability, performance and visual quality.
• Able to diagnose frontend issues that may originate in browser, API or network behaviour.
• Works collaboratively with backend and infrastructure engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Build reusable frontend components for dashboards, forms, tables, user management, transactions and other operational workflows.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend REST APIs and handle authentication, error states and asynchronous data flows
• Develop real-time frontend functionality using WebSocket and/or Socket.

• Maintain and enhance browser-based game-client functionality using Cocos Creator or a comparable interactive/game framework.
• Support desktop and mobile game interfaces, responsive layouts and screen adaptation.
• Implement real-time game-state updates, player interactions, balance/credit views and jackpot or game-event notifications.
• Support live-video integration and WebRTC-based streaming functionality where required.
• Support third-party iframe integrations and secure communication between embedded clients and host applications.
• Maintain multilingual user interfaces and cross-browser compatibility.
• Troubleshoot browser, rendering, performance, networking and media-streaming issues.
• Participate in code reviews and work closely with backend and infrastructure engineers.
• Contribute to frontend unit, integration and end-to-end test automation.

Your Skills and Experience

Required Skills

• 5+ years of commercial frontend-development experience.
• Strong commercial experience with React.
• Strong TypeScript and JavaScript skills.
• Strong HTML5 and CSS skills and experience building responsive web applications.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs.
• Good understanding of browser debugging, asynchronous programming and frontend performance.
• Experience using Git and modern development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills

• Cocos Creator or another browser/game framework such as Phaser, PixiJS or Unity WebGL.
• WebSocket and/or Socket.
  IO for real-time applications.
• WebRTC concepts such as RTCPeerConnection, ICE, STUN, TURN and live video tracks.
• Ant Design, Umi/Umi Max or similar component/application frameworks.
• Browser media APIs, live-video applications or multi-camera streaming.
• iframe/postMessage integrations.
• Automated testing with Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright or Cypress.
• Gaming, streaming or other highly interactive browser applications.

Relevant Experience

• Experience building production React applications with complex forms, tables, dashboards or workflow-driven interfaces.
• Experience with real-time UI updates or media-rich/interactive browser applications.
• Experience supporting desktop and mobile browser compatibility and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical industry experience.
