Refrigeration Technician

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration units, including cold display cabinets, chillers, and freezers, for our operations in Vietnam. This role is primarily based in Ho Chi Minh City, with occasional travel to other sites/stores as needed. The ideal candidate has hands-on technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of refrigeration systems used in retail, food service, or supermarket environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and maintain commercial refrigeration equipment, including display cabinets, chillers, and cold rooms

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related faults in cooling systems

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and energy efficiency

• Handle refrigerant charging, leak detection, and recovery in compliance with safety and environmental regulations

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment schematics

• Respond promptly to service calls and breakdown reports from stores or clients

• Maintain accurate service records, reports, and maintenance logs

• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to source spare parts and equipment

• Ensure all work complies with local safety standards and company procedures

• Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians when required

Yêu cầu công việc

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a refrigeration/HVAC technician, preferably with cold display cabinets or commercial cooling systems

• Vocational certificate, technical diploma, or equivalent qualification in Refrigeration, HVAC, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering

• Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, compressors, condensers, evaporators, and control systems

• Proficient in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, gauges, and other technical equipment

• Ability to read technical drawings, circuit diagrams, and equipment manuals

• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills

• Willingness to travel occasionally to store/site locations outside Ho Chi Minh City when required

• Good physical stamina: able to work in cold environments and perform manual tasks

• Good communication skills in Vietnamese; basic English is a plus

• Valid driver's license preferred
