The Product Cost Team Leader leads the cost coordinators in developing, validating, and continuously improving furniture BOMs, cost models, and digital costing solutions across Asia sourcing offices. The role translates business and costing requirements into clear system requirements, partners with IT, Data, AI, Development to pilot and implement AI-enabled cost solutions and ensures that cost-model outputs support timely product decisions, negotiation, and price competitiveness.

• Lead the creation, validation, maintenance, and analysis of furniture BOMs and cost models from the whitewood stage through finished product.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, photos, material usage, labor, overhead, and regional raw-material prices to calculate product cost and establish competitive cost references.
• Translate business and costing requirements into clear system requirements, process designs, testing scenarios, and actionable implementation plans for the cost-model system.
• Partner with IT, Data, AI, Development, and Strategy Execution teams to design, pilot, validate, deploy, and improve AI-enabled costing and BOM solutions.
• Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for software development, AI adoption, workflow automation, and reusable costing tools that improve speed, accuracy, and scalability.
• Apply AI-assisted tools and rapid prototyping methods to validate cost-model concepts, gather user feedback, and support adoption in daily business workflows.
• Define and monitor relevant performance measures, including costing accuracy, processing time, and business impact; drive corrective action and continuous improvement.
• Support cost-model system integration, implementation, data quality, efficiency with technical teams.
• Support the Development team with sample costing, material-change analysis, price comparison, price positioning, and cost-optimization recommendations.
• Coach team members on BOM standards, cost-model methodology, data analysis, AI-enabled work methods, and system usage; review team outputs for quality and consistency.
• Prepare clear dashboards and management reports that summarize cost drivers, variances, opportunities, risks, and implementation progress.
• Evaluate emerging AI and automation capabilities relevant to furniture costing and recommend practical applications based on business value, feasibility, risk, security, and data protection requirements.
• Perform other duties assigned by the direct and indirect leaders.

1. Education

• Bachelor's degree in Costing, Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience may be considered.

2. Experience

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in furniture or manufacturing costing, BOM development, cost modeling, digital transformation, or technical solution delivery. AI implementation experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into system requirements and working with cross-functional teams through solution design, testing, implementation, and adoption.

3. Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of product costing, BOM structure, cost drivers, variance analysis, and manufacturing processes; furniture-industry experience is preferred.
• Ability to identify operational pain points, evaluate feasibility, implementation complexity, risks, and expected business impact, and recommend practical solutions.
• Working knowledge of AI application concepts, including AI agents, workflow automation.
• Strong analytical thinking, logical thinking, data sensitivity, communication, stakeholder management, and team-leadership skills.
• CAD knowledge and the ability to interpret furniture drawings and specifications are required.
• Proficient English speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills.
