You have led teams across time zones and cultures, and you understand that managing a program in Tokyo is not the same as managing one in Seoul or Singapore. You adapt your approach without losing rigor. You build frameworks that scale but do not suffocate the people using them.

You are comfortable in a room with a VP who wants to know why three programs are behind schedule, and you can explain it in two minutes with a plan to fix it. You do not hide problems, you surface them early and bring solutions. You have managed customer-facing delivery teams before, so you know what it feels like when a commitment slips and how to prevent it.

At Synopsys, you will build and lead the PMO function for APAC. The programs are real, the customers matter, and the team you grow will set the standard for how we deliver across the region.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead and scale the APAC PMO organization across Japan, Korea, and the broader region, setting the operational foundation for how customer programs are planned, executed, and delivered

Build and implement PMO methodologies, governance frameworks, and best practices that work across cultures, business units, and customer engagement models in partnership with regional leaders to ensure global consistency.

Oversee a portfolio of complex customer programs and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, resource capacity, and delivery commitments

Partner with the Pipeline and Portfolio team within Professional Services to conduct resource planning, capacity forecasting, and project prioritization across Professional Services, ACE, and customer-facing delivery teams

Provide executive-level reporting, program health assessments, and strategic recommendations to regional and global leadership

Partner closely with Sales, Operations, Professional Services, and ACE leaders to align delivery execution with customer commitments and business growth

Manage, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers at various levels, building their capability to lead complex programs and grow in their careers

The Impact You Will Have

You will define how Synopsys delivers customer programs across APAC, setting the standard for execution, governance, and operational excellence

Your PMO frameworks will enable distributed teams to execute consistently, reducing delivery risk and improving customer satisfaction

You will create visibility into program health, resource constraints, and capacity planning that helps leadership make better decisions faster

The team you build and coach will become the backbone of delivery execution across the region, capable of leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs

Your partnership with Sales and Operations will ensure that what we commit to customers is what we can actually deliver, reducing overcommitment and firefighting

You will drive a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement that raises the bar for how we manage programs regionally

Your work will directly influence customer retention, program profitability, and Synopsys's reputation as a trusted partner in APAC

What You'll Need

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field

PMP Certification, this is non-negotiable

10 or more years of Program or Project Management experience, leading complex, customer-facing initiatives

5 or more years of leadership experience managing PMO or delivery organizations, including building teams and setting operational standards

Strong experience managing executive stakeholders and customer relationships, you have been the person in the room when things go sideways

Experience leading geographically distributed teams across multiple countries and time zones

Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience with EDA, semiconductor, CAE, CAD, PLM, or digital engineering solutions is a strong plus. PgMP, PMI-ACP, or Lean Six Sigma certifications are also a plus.

The Team You'll Be Part Of

You will report to Sernior Director, PMO and lead the APAC PMO function, working closely with Professional Services, Sales, Operations, and ACE teams across Japan, Korea, and the broader region. This is an onsite role based in Tokyo, requiring you to be in the office 4 to 5 days per week. You will travel up to 25% across APAC to support programs, build relationships, and align execution with regional priorities.
