• About the Role: The NPI Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineering process, ensuring the smooth transition of new products from R&D to mass production or sites. This role acts as a key Engineering bridge between Sites, R&D, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Sales, driving projects to meet targets for quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
• 1. NPI Engineering Process Management
• Lead and manage the NPI Engineering process from project kick-off to mass production launch, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, track progress, and identify and mitigate project risks.
• Lead NPI Engineering process review meetings and ensure timely resolution of project bottlenecks.
• 2. Cross-functional Coordination
• Collaborate with R&D, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Sales teams on new P/Ns launch.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contract manufacturers to ensure alignment on production capabilities and quality requirements.
• 3. Production Transition & Validation
• Oversee engineering builds, pilot runs, and validation activities to ensure product readiness for mass production.
• Evaluate and validate production tooling, test fixtures, and process capabilities.
• Lead the resolution of production issues during the NPI Engineering phase and ensure proper closure of issues before mass production.
• 4. Process & Quality Improvement
• Continuously improve NPI Engineering processes and documentation to enhance efficiency and yield.
• Implement and enforce quality standards and production specifications throughout the NPI phase.
• Analyze production data and provide feedback for product and process improvements.
• 5. NPI Engineering Team & Resource Management
• NPI Engineering team building from the ground up. Manage and mentor the NPI Engineering team, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring effective resource allocation.
• Provide technical and managerial support to resolve complex issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated team leadership / development.

- Qualifications & Requirements

• 1. Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering (e.g., Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
• 3-5 years of experience in new product introduction, project management, engineering, or related field, preferably in cable manufacturing.
• 2. Technical & Functional Skills
• Solid understanding of product development cycles, cable manufacturing processes, and quality control systems.
• Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong TECHNICAL problem solver & communicator.
• 3. Soft Skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• High level of initiative, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Travel freely to China and Vietnam

- 4. Language Requirements

• Fluent in English (both written and spoken) for cross-border communication and reading technical documentation.

• This is an urgent recruitment position. The company is highly flexible on compensation and willing to negotiate based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. The priority is to identify candidates with a strong and relevant Cable background.
• Preferred Candidates: Chinese candidates are highly preferred. However, candidates of other nationalities are also welcome, provided they have relevant Cable/NPI experience and are currently based or willing to work in Vietnam.
• Newly Created Position: This is a newly established position with an opportunity to build and develop the NPI Engineering function from the ground up.
• Mandatory Industry Background: Candidates must have knowledge of or hands-on experience in Cable / Cable Assembly manufacturing. Candidates with backgrounds in the following companies or similar Cable/Electronics manufacturers are particularly encouraged to apply.
