WHAT YOUR JOURNEY WITH US LOOKS LIKE (JOB DESCRIPTION)

As our new Costing Staff, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our financial efficiency and operational precision. Your core responsibilities include:

1.      Cost Control, Calculation & Pricing Governance

●       End-to-End Product Costing: Take full ownership of developing accurate, comprehensive, and timely standard and actual cost sheets for new and existing product lines.

●       Cost Component Breakdown: Meticulously evaluate and integrate all cost elements—including direct materials, direct labor, manufacturing overheads (MOH), and logistics factors—into the final pricing architecture.

●       Pricing Integrity: Ensure that all costing models comply with internal financial policies, operational thresholds, and relevant accounting standards to support profitable pricing strategies.

2. Variance Analysis & Financial Optimization

●       Actual vs. Standard Variance Tracking: Conduct rigorous, in-depth variance analyses comparing actual production expenditures against budgeted or standard norms on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis

●       Root Cause Investigation: Investigate cost anomalies, material wastage, efficiency drops, or unexpected labor overhead spikes by collaborating closely with plant supervisors and engineering teams.

●       Cost-Saving Initiatives: Formulate data-backed recommendations and actionable optimization strategies to curb expenses, reduce production waste, and maximize gross profit margins without compromising product quality.

3. Variance Analysis & Financial Optimization

●       BOM & Consumption Standard Governance: Partner hand-in-hand with the Production, R&D, and Engineering departments to establish, review, and continuously update Bills of Materials (BOM) and technical consumption norms.

●       Process Auditing: Regularly audit production floor practices against established technical standards to ensure alignment between physical consumption and system data entries.

●       Cross-Departmental Synergy: Act as a bridge between Procurement, Sales, and Operations to provide prompt pre-costing evaluations for new product inquiries, special client requests, or large-scale bidding events.

4. Reporting

●       Executive Cost Reporting: Design, generate, and present comprehensive periodic cost of goods sold (COGS) reports, profitability breakdowns, and inventory valuation summaries.

●       Continuous Process Improvement: Continuously refine costing software, ERP modules, and data collection workflows to enhance reporting speed, transparency, and analytical depth.

• Hands-on Experience (MANDATORY): Minimum of 1 year of practical experience working as a Cost Accountant or Costing Staff.
• Manufacturing Experience (MAJOR ADVANTAGE): Prior working experience within a manufacturing plant or production environment is a significant plus.
• Technical Proficience: Good at Excel and familiarity with cost accounting systems or ERP-related modules.
• Language: English required for daily communication with global partners, cross-border suppliers, and regional leadership teams.
• Core Competencies: Proactive mindset, high sense of responsibility, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive and deliver under tight deadlines.
