Job Summary

The Internal Accountant supports the Company's financial operations by managing payments, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and project-related financial administration. This role helps maintain accurate financial records, supports audit and compliance requirements, and provides administrative accounting support to founders and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounts Payable (AP)

Review, verify, record, and process vendor payments, operating expenses, and approved payment requests

Match bills and payments in Xero

Manage recurring company payments, including corporate credit cards and operating expenses

Assist with urgent payment requests when required

2. Accounts Receivable (AR)

Prepare and issue invoices to local and international clients

Monitor incoming payments and follow up on outstanding receivables

Maintain accurate records of customer invoices and collections

3. Reconciliation & Financial Administration

Reconcile transactions across bank accounts, corporate cards, Wise, and accounting systems

4. Project Finance Support

Track project budgets, petty cash, and production expenses

Assist with preparing initial Cost Estimates (CEs) for new projects

Support project profitability tracking and financial monitoring

5. Audit & Compliance Support

Assist with preparing documents and supporting records for periodic audits and reviews by external accounting firms and auditors

Maintain organized accounting records, supporting documentation, and audit trails for company and project transactions

Support compliance with internal financial procedures and accounting policies

6. General/Administrative Support (~20% of role)

Assist founders and internal teams with financial and operational tasks

Support process improvements and documentation initiatives

Assist the HR team with day-to-day administrative tasks

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Degree in Accounting or Finance, with 1–2 years of relevant experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Google Drive

Experience with Xero or similar accounting software is a plus

Fluent English is a mandatory requirement

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and team-oriented

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
