A well-established Australia based international freight forwarding company providing ocean freight, air freight, customs clearance, transportation and logistics solutions.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Freight Pricing & Procurement Executive to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently source and negotiate competitive freight rates with shipping lines, airlines, overseas agents, trucking companies and other logistics providers.
• Obtain and compare ocean freight, air freight, customs clearance, warehousing and local transportation costs.
• Prepare straightforward FCL, LCL and air freight quotations.
• Support our Pricing Team with complex and time-sensitive enquiries.
• Follow up proactively with suppliers to ensure timely rate responses.
• Maintain and update freight rate databases and supplier information.
• Ensure all relevant costs, surcharges and service conditions are accurately captured.

Job Description:

• Assist the sales team in managing client inquiries and providing timely responses via phone and email.

• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth processing of quotations and shipments.

• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.

• Support the preparation of sales presentations and proposals.

• Monitor and report on sales performance metrics.

• Participate in team meetings to discuss strategies for improving sales processes.

Working Location:

- Work from home

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (HCM time) April to September, 6 am to 1:30 pm (HCM Time) October to March

Melbourne Public Holiday plus 15 days paid leave per year.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding, preferably in Pricing, Procurement or Freight Operations.
• Strong knowledge of international ocean and air freight.
• Proven ability to independently source and compare freight costs.
• Experience preparing freight quotations.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Strong negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, responsive and capable of working independently.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Australia-related shipments or CargoWise will be an advantage.
