Overview

Enterprise Java Architect

As an Architect specializing in Java Microservices, you will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance solutions for our clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect, develop, and optimize microservices-based applications that drive business value and innovation.

Your Impact

Design and implement Java-based microservices architectures that are scalable, resilient, and high-performing.

Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure best practices in microservices development, including API design, security, and observability.

Optimize system performance and ensure seamless integration with cloud-native technologies.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Stay up to date with emerging trends in Java, microservices, and cloud computing to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Your Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Java development, with a strong focus on microservices architecture.
• Proven expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and other Java-based frameworks for building microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps best practices.
• Proficiency using AI pair-programmers and engineering assistants (specifically GitHub Copilot and/or Claude Code) to optimize workflow efficiency and accelerate problem-solving"
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
• Set Yourself Apart With
• Certifications in Java, Spring, or cloud platforms (AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Associate, etc.).
• Experience with serverless computing and event-driven microservices.
• Knowledge of distributed tracing, logging, and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger).
• Strong understanding of security best practices for microservices and cloud-native applications.
• Additional information
• Salary Range: $135,000 - $190,000
• The range shown represents a grouping of ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work.
