Key Responsibilities:

1. Training Design and Implementation:

- Implement NSRP life safety rules & process safety fundamentals during training session to integrate safety as a core component of all training. 

- Conduct firefighting, HAZMAT, rescue and other emergency response training for firefighting team & self defense team, ensuring that they are trained to high levels of competence for emergency response to build a highly competent and well-prepared emergency response team.

- Conduct special trainings as per approved modules on turnaround fire safety risks to address specific, high-risk scenarios that araise during plant turnarounds

- Lead practical drills of HAZMAT, firefighting and rescue training modules to validate and reinforce theoretical knowledge through practical application. 

- Support the Firefighting training leader in oversight of firefighting training program to ensure the overall effectiveness and quality of the firefighting training program.

- Support in development of a firefighter training program to ensure all firefighters remain competent as required by international standards.

2. Training Assessment and Evaluation:

- Measure learning progress of trainees through verbal assessment/formative, written, and performance tests/summative assessment to systematically evaluate and track the learning progress of trainees.

- Conduct surveys, feedback or periodic evaluation of the firefighting training system to ensure the continuous improvement of the firefighting training system.

- Prepare fire & emergency response competency gap filling records to proactively address weakness in the emergency response team.

3. Risk Management and Safety Compliance:

- Implement risk assessment and safe system of work during firefighting practical training sessions to uphold the highest safety standards during all practical training sessions.

- Promote safety at the workplace, coach team on NSRP safety bulletins, lessons learned & on biweekly firefighting topics.
- Actively intervene to stop unsafe acts and correct unsafe conditions and report the unsafe acts/conditions to foster a proactive safety culture throughout the organization. 

- Determine the required special personal protection equipment for trainings, drills & incident response. Implement the operating limits & user safety system to ensure safety of all personnel. 

- Introduce communication flow and responsibilities of emergency response organization according to NSRP emergency response procedure.

- Carry out fire safety inspection & participate in fire safety audits to identify and mitigate potential fire hazards.

- Control environmental impacts of all training activities of firefighting to ensure all training activities are conducted in an environmentally responsible manner.

4. Training Facility Management:

- Manage consumed inventories of fire extinguishing media in the training facility & coordinate for replenishment to guarantee that essential firefighting resources are always available.

- Propose to maintain the reliability of training fire equipment used in training and apply modern equipment system to increase training quality . 

5. Reporting & Recording:

- Prepare report or keep record of Training feedback; training incident reports; Training records to ensure a clear and consistent record of all training activities and incidents.

6. Policy and procedure:

- Contribute to develop firefighting procedures and update procedures to ensure all procedures and training lesson plans are up-to-date and meet required International and Vietnamese Standards.

7. Strategy:

- Support in incident response strategy development to provide expert input for developing effective incident response strategy. 

8. Project Management:

- Support activities related to projects in NSRP to ensure that emergency response considerations are integrated into all projects.

- Carry out tasks & implement special training plans for turnarounds, plant shutdowns and for the new projects to address the unique and high-risk needs of specific operational periods.

9. Others:

Other Tasks assigned by Direct Supervisor/Manager.

1. Education Level: University Graduated. 

2. Qualifications:

* Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Firefighting or equivalent.

* Firefighting basic and advanced level certification from internationally accredited institute.

* Hazardous materials (HAZMAT) awareness and operation certification.

* Rescue training from an accredited institute.

* Preferably, NFPA Firefighting instructor level-1 certification from an accredited institute.

3. Work Experience:

* Minimum 5 years of experience related to Firefighting, Rescue and Emergency Response Training/ Operations including 02 years in oil & gas industry.

4. English: Minimum TOEIC 600 or equivalent. 

5. Job Knowledge:

* International and Vietnamese Regulations & Industry Standards on Fire Prevention and Emergency Control.

6. Skills:

* Training skill.

* Communication skill.

* Demonstration skill.

* Specialized skills in Firefighting, Emergency Response management and risk control activities .

7. Abilities:

* Ability to train & handle challenging situations during training.

* Ability to maintain timely delivery of the lessons and control the learner process as per the lesson plan timelines.
